Ineffable, does your ECAS still say "in Progress"?

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

It would be 57 days from the 'application received' date. Since I am May 8th and its been over 57 days I'll be calling later today or tomorrow to inquire as it is past their stated processing time. The number to call would be the standard call center number at 1-888-242‑2100.

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

Are any May 5th applicants calling today? It's past the 57 days listed on the website for SA processing time. I'm May 8th so I can't call until Monday/Tuesday. These people really need a kick in the butt, processing times just keep getting longer and longer.

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

I'll likely just wait until SA... If I don't hear regarding SA when the 57 days listed on the official processing times is up, I'll call regarding SA delay and the medicals not showing as received.

All I have is when I click that link is: "Permanent Residence We received XXXX XXXX's application for permanent residence on May 8, 2015." When clicking the "In Process" link instead it says: "We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXX on May 8, 2015. We started processing your...

    Common-Law vs Spouse

Standard procedure for proof is as follows: -Joint signed lease agreement -Lots of pictures together, and with people other than just the two of you (it helps prove others are aware of your relationship) -Bills/invoices in both your names to the same address -Other proof you've combined your...

    Advice for Common Law

I recently applied common-law with my Partner from the USA. I believe part of the common-law definition is that you are in a marriage-like relationship, which entails living together in a residence (shared lease), paying utility bills together, splitting grocery bills, having shared bank...

    2015 April-Outland spousal application

That makes sense, in the May thread, those of us who got AOR on Saturday (May 6) and Wednesday (May 10) only just got ECAS access today.

    2015 April-Outland spousal application

Mississauga is slowing down. AORs went from 21 days in March/April, and are now back up to 30+. I'm in the May thread and my AOR was 33 days. I can only assume SAs are affected by this slowdown as well since its the same office.

    Signature required for package delivery?

Just because it is Canada Post doesn't mean you have to send it to the PO Box. If you send it via an expedited method (usually X amount of days with tracking or signature), it is considered courier.

The only piece of identification I have for ECAS is Receipt number, and it says it doesn't exist in their system, so I assume that means they haven't even opened my package yet.

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

I really don't understand CIC's work process. My app arrived on the same day (May 8th) as others who received AOR on Saturday, yet I still haven't heard anything :( Seems those really fast AORs that people were seeing a month ago are also gone, as I'm already approaching 30+ days without a...

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

I would suggest both of you create new topics with these questions. This thread is supposed to be about Sponsors/Application who filed their applications in the month of May 2015, not September 2014 or general questions for future applications.

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

You will wait for an email (assuming you provided one) indicating they 'received' it. This is usually ~1 month after it arrives at the office. [I have yet to receive this, it's called AOR]. Then you wait another month for SA (Sponsorship approval), then you wait 8+ more months for a Decision...
