he did his in Ottawa too :) but we are 10 days behind, ours was sent in on the 11th. Man, that means that they are pretty slow if you've been waiting 5 weeks already. Oh well. Like you said, I hope this is the last bit. Keep me posted please if you hear anything from them.

for us neither though I don't expect to get anything for another few weeks. Hubby redid his medical a month ago, it's been in the RMO for 2 weeks now. Given our track record I don't keep my hopes up for a speedy process anymore.

why do you think they would call you for an interview? is there something specific you are concerned about? I haven't heard of a dutch applicant going for the interview yet, in most cases they raise flags with cases where the applicant could be looking for better economic/personal interests from...

i'm very saddened by your story. I truly hope that you won't have to wait for 2 years. Maybe you should contact your MP, explain them what happened and see if they can help. of course they do have the right to refuse us, but such behaviour should not be acceptable at any level of government.

London office is usually pretty quick (quicker than Ottawa I think) so it shouldn't take that long in your case. I really hope that the two of us are done soon, it's really about time!! :)

Europe, my husband did his medical here in Canada and it took 2 weeks for the doctor to get the results. They were received by CIC RMO Ottawa on Monday but I have no idea how long its going to take for their medical examiners to look at it and email the report to Vienna. Hopefully not too long...

Venecan, I don't know but if it's been longer than a year that you took out your police certificate or if the one year term is nearing I'd suggest doing it again before they even request it. My husband did his medicals a month before the police certificate and so they requested medicals first...

Europe, did you translate the new police certificate in English and get it certified by a notary? We didn't do any of this first time around (and they didn't say anything) but this time around they asked for certified translation..
