    ILETS required for British Citizens?

From what I understand, the IELTS is simply a measure of one's English proficiency and is not necessarily intended or designed for non-English speakers. As far as I know, the general IELTS is mandatory for all FSW category applicants regardless of their nationality.

WORRIED ABOUT IELTS? any one who can tell

Dude, don't think of the IELTS as just something you need to get a visa. If your English is not good enough, you'll have difficulties studying in Canada. You need to improve your English to at least a band 6.5 level.

And you're confident that's not one of the rejection reasons? They have mentioned "language abilities" too.

Which province is better to get Pnp and pr with 1year Post graduate work permit.

At least one of the two 1-yr programmes needs to be a graduate degree though. The other one can either be a degree or a diploma. Certificates (UG/PG) do not qualify.

    A matter of betrayal

I doubt my employer would issue me such a letter without asking me first why I need it. Plus, I'm already late applying for my visa; this'll just delay things further. I'll keep this as my last resort. Appreciate the advice though. I wonder if anyone out there with work experience has...

    A matter of betrayal

Thanks for your advice, buddy, but you seem to have contradicted yourself. Don't submit the job offer letter or ask my consultant? Which one? My consultant's the one who is asking me to submit the job offer letter, see?

    A matter of betrayal

I'm about to submit my application for a study permit (Sept 2012 intake) under SPP. My educational consultant simply won't stop insisting that I include my work appointment letter with the application. They say I need to do this in order to justify the gap between now and my graduation back in...

Advanced English users need to reply.

There are way too many mistakes in your writing, dude. Here are some common mistakes you need to avoid: 1) Noun: advice. Verb: advise. 2) Noun: practice. Verb: practise. 3) Band, not bands. There is only 1 overall band in IELTS. 4) You take a test or sit an exam. You do NOT give an exam...

Study Permit for US Citizen questions, please help.

I don't think they're concerned about you living in Canada permanently (in the future) as long as you do it legally. When they say they need you to leave Canada by the end of your authorised period of stay, they mean they don't want you overstaying illegally. Historically, U.S. citizens have had...

    So close, yet so far

UPDATE: Thanks to a combination of persistence, persuasiveness and contacts ;), I managed to find out why I scored so less on my writing section: "failed to reach minimum word count". F*ck.

Study Permit for US Citizen questions, please help.

    1) Not very confident here but from what I know, only citizens of certain countries are required to produce police certificates. The USA is not on that list. 2) Have you gone through the study permit application forms? I don't think they ask you about your partner unless there's a paper to...
