I need some good advice, So my husband and I have deemed the pp lost in the mail - as some of you know we have NO luck with IPS. He claims that because its a reg post they will attempt to deliver it within a specified time and if not it goes back to the sender ( ND). Also because the name of...

I remember calling the call ctr regarding my visa appln to India.. the person that picked the phone had little knowledge to answer some very basic questions, but he sounded so timid and quiet I didn't feel like yelling Unfort. I'm finding more and more one has to do their own research and...

Sorry to hear you had to go thru all the unnecessary run abouts... my parents had a good experience when they got their OCIs... so based on that I was thinking if I ever had to get one it would be painless.. This just goes to show that nothing is or ever will be standard with ND!!

The only thing is that sometimes the add. on ecas says one thing.. and the actual address they mailed it out to is different... In our case on ecas the state is missing.. but when my hubby got the ppr the correct address was on there.. An update: The post office at my hubby's place said that...

The OCI process is relatively easier compared to other processes... like you said atleast now you don't have to 'plan' out your trips. You can go as you please. And I agree it is a worthwhile investment if you visit India often.

    wrong date of birth

I agree.. DO NOT send anything with wrong information. It is only going to delay the whole process. It is much better to have to wait for the delay in getting a new marriage certificate than the delay in the processing of the visa. Good Luck

DNT 2003- It's not even the price of the tickets that stop most of us.. its the part of getting the vacation and then making sure it was worth the time off plus the ticket price. I'm sure things are going to work for you to bring your wife.

That's an excellent point that you made Fprince... and that's one of the beauties of T.O, so DNT2003 your wife should not having an communication issues with the IO and if anything ( and it won't happen) occurs they can always call you from the waiting area.
