if you have a file #, you can courier it... lots of people have done that - and it reaches the office and goes with your file. I haven't heard about going in person - I'm not even sure if you can do that. Anyone know? Good Luck

@ lama21 - are you getting the applicant's address when you log in with their info?

as long as all the immigration forms are filled out according to the 'new' names of the current passport it should be fine. the only reason the old passports are to be submitted is verify entry/ exit of travel ( if applicable)

@deepiv - he should send in the form whether or not he has any foreign travel ( atleast that's what the checklist said) good luck!

i didn't know that the ppr request ( whether they want it before file processing) was dependant on the VO/IO. I assumed it was a standard procedure where they asked for it first and then starting processing... that may explain why some of us haven't got the ppr yet!

You can usually log into ecas ( to check the status of your appln) closer to the 38 day mark.. it was about 1 week before that timeline for me. For those of you that already have a client id # you can always call the 1 888 # and find the status of your file ( until it leaves Canada). Just...

ecas is not reliable at all for timely updates! congrats by the way the long wait is over!!!
