nairyd, ecas will only say appln recd once the VO enters this info... it took me about 2 weeks. of course it depends on each VO. but rest assured it will update. congrats!! and good luck on the next stage

before i received the letter of approval i was using the receipt # to log in ( and then enter the sponsor's info) for the rest of the fields. once i received the letter it had the client ID. In my opinion logging in using both #s gives me the same result.. however you can only use the client...

Yay! Ecas updated!! We received XXXXXX application for permanent residence on March 28, 2011 It's finally being processed at the VO

i'd give it atleast a week.. stay patient.. postive news is on its way :)

you can always try logging in and see what happens... i found that my ecas updated around 1 week before the 37 day mark. but i've heard that others had it activated before. just keep trying and before you know it, you'll be able to log in ( unfortunately there's really no saying with ecas!)

you can log in with your receipt #, however if its still early in the processing stage you may not be able to get any info.

hi nairyd, ecas can be a real pain and nerve wrecker at times! unfortunately since you are in stage 1 it will not say whether your application has been forwarded to your husband's VO. But your letter does say that. Ecas only updates this info once the VO enters this info. congrats! it's good...

meateater, have you tried calling the call centre? maybe its some technical issue that they maybe able to help you with or maybe they can tell you why this is happening. In any case I don't see any reason for concern. stay positive!

good hear some are getting positive results.. this last week has been very slow for me - no updates on ecas hoping to see something tomorrow atleast for those who's ecas updated with file recd in VO - how long did it take? mine is coming to about a week with no updates. hope that's normal!

but i don't get why the call centre has no access to our files once its leaves mississauga.. isn't the VO still canadian ( but on international soil?) none the less this is surely a patience testing game!

in this case you are her only family member .. the siblings are listed in another section i believe the guide clearly states this... but i know this process can be confusing!

hi lanisha, since you are a pr and already had your husband on the application you CAN sponsor him also you do NOT need a job to sponsor him since you are a PR good luck !

hi jovy, i'd definitely print out all those chat pages.. forget about how many pages it is ( i can imagine how thick that piles going to be :) ) but in any case just think that its better to have more info than less... and yes the word format is just fine good luck
