    For the spaces that are too small to type into, I ended up filling it in by hand We used the words sponsor/ sponsored person where applicable... I'm not too sure about the rest of the questions, I'm sure someone else will be able to fill you in soon

    I put in N/A in any box that was not filled in for me... I think that its a safe bet to do it like this.. atleast there's no confusion since its not blank. Good Luck!

    I've heard that some police offices do require a file #... but in your case you have to explain that you do not have one since your file has not been submitted yet. Also make sure that they are clear that you need to submit your police clearance letter to start the filing process. In most cases...

    Seeing as your almost close to the 38 day mark.. maybe you can try calling the CIC call centre ( if you can't get onto ecas) - and if you're lucky they may be able to give you an update

    @ raman1127 - ecas usually updates in a couple of weeks once the file has been received - but I am not sure how you can confirm 100% whether the hard copy of your file has arrived.

    I'm assuming you've worked in Canada... in that case maybe you can try contacting Human Resources and Skills Development (HRDC) and see if they can access your record of employment.. I think this is somewhere you can definitely start and they may be able to lead you to another source

    Since my spouse was the applicant the most difficult part for me was making sure I got all the required docs and was checking numerous times to make sure nothing was missing... it was driving me insane! Glad that part is over :)
