old passport name change on new one

my husband had a passport made when he was younger like 10 or 12... and he had his nickname put on there as his name.... but that is old and expired now.
but he has a new passport and it now has his NAME - MIDDLE NAME- LAST NAME- then ALIAS nickname

would there be a problem..im not sure exactly if anyone gets what i mean
but anyone know for sure ALIAS means... like its to add on your nickname

and he would have to send in his old passport tooo with his new one...

as long as all the immigration forms are filled out according to the 'new' names of the current passport it should be fine.

the only reason the old passports are to be submitted is verify entry/ exit of travel ( if applicable)
