Dear klmy, just attach a bank certificate shwing current balance. Statement is optional u can attach 3 months also. There is no use of waiting for a thing which is not necessary. I did same and got PER. Statement may be asked in the end of process and Your visa office would mention the duration...

U r right ashtoshka, my dd was encashed on 13 dec as per PER letter by CIC but according to my bank my dd was encashed on 21st dec. So it is clear that bank take some time to update this information. Hope this helps!!
