I'm starting to get antsy! It's only been two weeks since I paid my RPRF, and I know I probably have a couple more months (at least!) to go. This waiting is brutal! We want to get on with the moving plans already! LOL

Just got another email from my attorney

My attorney just sent me an email stating that he has looked up the processing times and that I am looking at September before getting approved. I just paid my RPRF on the 20th. From everything I've heard, I'm not looking at that long. He originally told me 3 months. Now he's saying...

    b4/b4a forms

Re: ba/ba4 forms The only jewelry that I have that is not costume jewelry is my wedding and engagement ring set... That was purchased in Canada and I DO have a receipt for it. Do I still need to have it appraised?

    Letter of support from family.......

My husband and I submitted a letter from my father and his mother. Both were type-written and then signed. They both basically consisted of "Yes, we've met ____ and believe that this relationship is genuine" and gave some brief example of WHY they believed the relationship to be genuine. I...

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but... Now that I've paid my RPRF and I seem to be getting close (according to my attorney, and I pray he is right!)... Due to my current living situation, most of my belongings are already boxed up, so it's time to start taking inventory of what's in...

    August 2012 Applicants Thread =)

Congrats, Shylox! I really wish my attorney had told us to pay the RPRF upfront and then maybe I would have received a PPR instead the other day! Hoping it doesn't take long now!

So at this point, my husband paid the RPRF last night and sent the receipt to my attorney this morning. I'm reading that since we waiting to be asked for it, this has slowed us down by two months or more. (Hoping that's not actually the case, but anyone who knows, feel free to give me the...

    August 2012 Applicants Thread =)

I just received an email from my attorney. CIC is now requesting the Right of Permanent Residency Fee. He said that this means that it looks as though we are nearing the end of the application. Anyone else have experience here? ECAS still says "Application Received".
