Maybe I'm being optimistic , but as they ask for the passport copies to be scanned and sent by email, they get the passport faster. Plus, there is no additional handling of needing to get the passport sent back. You are probably right- but I'm hoping for the best! :)

Hi all, Now that CPP-O / Ottawa seems to be putting out a lot of passport copy requests (PPR?)- Has anyone gotten their COPR? I emailed a scan of my passport bio page on October 22 and hoping for some good news soon!

I've seen quite a few people on the forums that have gotten the same request. Seems if CPP-O is finalizing, they just don't need your actual passport. Hopefully that means the CoPR will come faster! Good luck!
