For American citizens applying Outland, the VO up until early this year was Buffalo and it was closed. So CPP-O, at least for the time being, IS the VO for these people. Some people's passport requests were being handled by other American Visa offices, but I believe that was a temporary measure...

So, a mere 50 days after my PPR- my CoPR is at my US address! I'll put up a full run down of my times later, but just FYI for now for people in Northern states, it took 5 business days.

Re: CPP Ottawa Don't know that there is a preference for married over common-law. If the applicant is a US citizen, they will only ask for a copy or scan of the passport to be sent- not the actual passport. Definitely don't worry about eCas, they don't update so often. I haven't heard...

And were you denied for this exact situation? Because we got married in front of a lawyer with 2 witnesses and immediate family present, with a large party to come later. And my case has been approved. Feel free to add something helpful if you have pertinent experience.

Maybe! I got my PPR from Ottawa Oct. 19 but still don't have my CoPR. So maybe if the file looks ok they are deciding to jump right to PPR. Congrats!

This was the same response I got on Tuesday morning (I got DM Monday). I have yet to receive it in the mail (address in US), so I would guess at least about a week of mailing time. Almost there kids!
