UGH... trying to land

So my husband got COPR last week. We did a mini vacation to Niagara Falls ($500+ bucks later...) to land at rainbow bridge.

So... we go to immigration and give documents. PROBLEM! Apparently CPP-O did not enter us in the system (even though they issued COPR) and therefore they could not complete his landing.

We leave Niagara Falls Friday. They are going to try and contact CPP-O tomorrow to see if they can do it... but if not we pretty much came here for nothing. UGH.

That's a huge bummer, and I'm so sorry to hear about this. I hope that they get it sorted out before Friday!

Sorry to hear that... something similar happened to somebody going through the London Office, where he got to the border to land his name was not on the system.... luckily he was only flagpoling! imagine having that when you're landing... scary ! hope it gets sorted out quickly...

We are back today. The officers here called Ottawa who requested they fax the COPR over... so we did that, now we are waiting for a phone call...

Wow that's SUPER awful. I try to remember that CIC is just people who are doing their best, but COME ON that's just egregious.

Its getting irritating. We have been dealing with this for 5 hrs and we are sitting in our hotel room twiddling our thumbs. The immigration officers still have his passport and copr... I'm pretty sure Ottawa holds regular business hours and I fear they will close before we get an answer... and our bus leaves tomorrow morning....

that's such a bad situation to be in!! I feel for you guys, and hope that by the time you read this message, everything will be sorted out and you can land and forget about CIC for a while!!

Got it! Finally!!! I had all but given up and was super depressed when the immigration office called and told us to come back. He has LANDED!!

That sounds like something that would happen to me - I always get bad luck in these situations that could go any direction! I am glad it all got sorted and that your husband is now landed! Hope you had a good vacation though, I love the falls!
