    PPR Ottawa ?

I also emailed (because I have a job offer and would like to give them a starting date). I received a reply this morning saying that my landing document "should be issued this week." I'm really hoping that means it will be sent soon!

    Crossing the border

I really feel obligated to reiterate that. I was personally warned when driving across the border once to be sure I was just visiting and not living on an ongoing basis illegally. When I say warned, I mean they dismantled all my suitcases and tore apart my car making sure I wasn't bringing...

    PPR Ottawa ?

I agree, I am happier having not sent my passport even though it seems to take longer in this step. If I had known that it wasn't actually the "final" step (even though they've already waived the interview), I would be a lot more patient. I've also emailed them, letting them know I have a job...

    PPR Ottawa ?

Awesome! Thanks again for keeping us in the loop :) Did you email the generic CPP-O email address, or go through another channel? I have a job offer and it would be great to confirm that I might be able to just wait for CoPR instead of getting my work visa and turning around to PR a week...

    After PPR...?

That's Exactly how I feel right now. I was expecting it to take a lot longer before the PPR, but having sent in my PP I have got a lot more impatient!

    After PPR...?

It depends where your final CoPR is being processed. In the case of CPP-O / Ottawa: If you give this forum a scan, you will see that the time between PPR and CoPR is quite a bit longer than LA (or Buffalo before). This isn't to be pessimistic- just fyi so you don't start stalking the mailman too...

    PPR Ottawa ?

Thanks all for the updates! It does seem now that PPR isn't quite the same step as it was for Buffalo or LA. FYI, I sent my passport copy (by email) on Oct. 22 and haven't heard anything since (nor has my eCas changed from 'In Process').

Emigrate to Quebec through spouse sponsorship querry

Not only is there no French requirement for spousal sponsorees, as a new QC immigrant you are eligible for free French classes. So really don't worry about that aspect. You will find French useful for everyday life, but there is no immigration issue.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Did you hear this from CIC? Or is this just a (totally reasonable) guess?

    March 2012 applicants, join here! : )

Thanks for sharing your info, I really appreciate it!! Although when I just read that, I said "Uuuuugggghhhhh."

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I've seen other people here say they were asked to include more, but it depends on the case. I was only told they were waiving the interview and to send a scan of my passport.

    March 2012 applicants, join here! : )

So still no news from Ottawa, Santoki? I think I got my hopes up when I sent in the passport copy- I was assuming it was like other VOs that request passports at the very end...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Agreed! Although I have to say I am glad to still have my passport in my hands, as opposed to mailing it.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

You may or may not be finalized by Seattle. I received my PPR directly from Ottawa and was directed to send a copy of my passport to CPP-O/Ottawa for the CoPR. It seems to depend on where you fall in the pile. As a side note, CPP-O seems to be sending PPRs very quickly- but the actual visa is...

    PPR Ottawa ?

Has anyone who has sent a Passport copy to Ottawa heard back? I figured the CoPR would be right around the corner...taking longer than I expected ::)

    My Quebec Selection Certificate

He should send you the original. It says on it that you need to keep the original in case of future...whatever. The CSQ update should be sent to your VO directly from Quebec. I received an email stating that my VO was waiting for my csq (about the time that I got mine in the mail), so I just...

PLZZZZZZZZ help me FOr IMM0008 CSQ

Do NOT put anything in 7c- no date when applied, etc. When you receive your sponsorship approval, you will get information on how to apply for the CSQ. You CANNOT apply for your CSQ without the sponsorship approval. Don't put ANYTHING for the CSQ now and don't worry about it until you hear...

PLZZZZZZZZ help me FOr IMM0008 CSQ

Just replying to confirm other response. I was also confused by this. You put the applicant's csq IF you have one. Since you don't, just leave it blank. It is NO problem. :) Good luck!

    Family class, medical! Pls help?

For family class sponsorship, they ask you to send the medical form with your application and it is probably best to do that. You don't want to wait three months just to get a letter saying you are missing forms and have to wait a longer time. You make an appointment with a doctor who gives...

Ready for finalization..CIC asking photocopy rather than original passport..

Oh I see what you mean. The only document requested from me was the passport copy (we paid all fees upfront) and my email included this line: " If no original documents have been requested, you may submit copies of your documents by mail, by fax, or as scanned images attached to an email to...
