We put photos from different months/events in to sandwich bags with a stick on label on the front with the date, location, event, and who was in the photos on each bag. Then put them all in the proof of relationship folder.

How long will he be there? You could always update his address to yours. That's what we did. Logging in with our receipt number shows no changes on my husbands side, but if we log in with his UCI we see all the lines for his in process and what they've done.

In PEI you need a license from here to register a car. You can be insured with a US license. If you have your driving abstract and letter from your insurance company it is cheaper, and most places require it for out of province drivers. Easier to just get his US license swapped to your...

We got a new photo request Jan 20th too. Didn't notice the new size, so we sent the old size, realized it same day and went and paid another 45$ to overnight the right size, with a note explaining why they got two packages to Ottawa. Hahaha. This process is making us a little insane I think. ;D

We got a request for new photos - that came 16 days after they dated it. With 15 days from date to have the information in Ottawa. So we were three days late getting them back. Hopefully that doesn't cause too much of an issue. We got the letter dated Jan 20th, last friday.. sent photos same day...

I didn't even bother looking for a PEI doctor because I assumed we didn't have any. Hahaha. We ended up making a 3 day trip to Utah for it while visiting his parents. 400$ USD for medical. But I did get to pet a penguin at the zoo - totally worth it.

Yeah that's why I'm waiting to order. I'm thinking by the first of February there might be some movement on our application. (hopefully)

Depends on the mood of the agent. Some will be fine with it, some will want proof to ties back in the US.

Thanks for the responses! Finally found a company here that will insure him with drivers abstract and a letter from his previous insurance agency. It seems hit or miss with who will take a US license, at least on PEI.

They will give him a PEI license if he has proof of how long he will be in Canada, which means visitors record in their eyes. I tried explaining that US citizens don't typically get those, but we would have approval of his extension for 1 year. But that won't be accepted apparently.

I know the feeling, ecas and I are pretty great friends, we hang out a few times a day. Because I am insane. Hahah.
