We were going to order notes but decided to give it another month since we were late August.

I'm not in a super hurry for my COPR but it starts to make me nervous when I haven't heard anything since my file was transferred.
At least on my visitor extension application I get an email every few weeks telling me there is no update on my application, it at least lets me know they didn't lose it :)

I know the feeling, ecas and I are pretty great friends, we hang out a few times a day. Because I am insane. Hahah.

Haha!! Not insane but this process can make you insane! Plus if you're like me and been in Canada visiting for awhile it can get very lonely during the day. I don't really know anyone here and you can only do so much cooking and cleaning. Being bored leads me to checking ECAS often!

Has any August applicants ordered their GCMS notes? I wonder if it's still too early to? I know some August applicants and some September ones have received their COPR. Ottawa VO seems to be a bit slower.

I ordered my GCMS notes on December 14th, and haven't yet received them... The acknowledgement from CIC said that my request would be processed within 30 calendar days. However, I read somewhere on this forum that it is taking 60 days. I will post the results of my notes when I get them. I'm not expecting to see much but I hope to see some evidence that my file is actually in Ottawa and hopefully touched by someone...

I am hoping for DM soon. At least one September application has gotten COPR from Ottawa....

Ok Ladyex13. this is what you shoudl expect.

Now the waiting game begins. since your file is newly transferred, Ottawa may send u AOR2 or they may not but as per the file, it will b in queue until an officer picks it up for review. According to Ottawa thread, approx 4 to 5 months- it should b reviewed, but until then , there maybe no communication except if any doc is needed or missing.

If all docs submitted and all fees paid upfront, then by or before Sept. or Oct 2016, your husband should have landed.

Hope that helps

Hi Tolexmi,

Can you please point me to the Ottawa thread link?

Thanks.

I totally understand what you are saying carr1. I have been in Canada for almost 2 years. I think being alone so much has been the hardest for me. I volunteer twice a week and that really helps. I feel like I became an instant housewife (not married yet though) cooking & cleaning all the time. Lol Soo glad I have my cats and this forum on my lonely days. Haha!!

You may have read my post...I ordered my notes Dec 8 and received a notice that it normally takes 30 days...but then 2 days ago I received another notice saying it would take another 30 days :(

I am hoping (or maybe not) that it's because they are tracking down all of my CSE updates that I have sent...because my first set of notes showed that some of them were missing. But assumption is the mother of all evil.

You've been at it longer than me! I'm on month 16 and some times think I'm climbing the walls!! I tried volunteering but was told I can't because of my status so I gave up.
This forum and knowing we aren't alone helps a lot!!

Good luck on them coming sooner than later! I may wait until February to ask for them....or maybe by then we will have DM!

Hi , How can you be on Month 16 if your time line show you sent your application on August 11 , 2015 ? that's barely 6 Months ? I'm on Month 3.5 and not feeling very good .

I think he/she means they have been in Canada for 16 months. They were replying to my post that said I have been in Canada for almost 2 years. :D

I guess the good thing is that we are in Canada with our partners and that is a wonderful thing, but we are only human and sometimes it is lonely during the day. I am very happy to be here though!! We were apart for 5 years and it was quite expensive traveling back and forth and we missed each other soo much.

Where did you try to volunteer? If you find a place that is non-profit and has a volunteer program you might be able to volunteer. Google that for your city and see what comes up. You can also find a immigrant settlement office and they can direct you also.

Hang in there!! We are all in this together and our day will be here.

Smiles!!

Havent posted here before. I am canadian. Husband is U.S. sent application aug 31, 2015. I was sent an email in november that i was approved as a sponsor. Still doesnt say decision made. My husband only comes up on weekends to see us. We have been working in immigratiom since 2011 ( needed Crim. Rehab). It has been a long and exhausting journey. I know to be patient but i am honestly emotionally exhausted.....:(
