Quick Question: who else is not American but living in the US (besides me)? Just trying to find comparables to my case.

I'm in that limbo too (since June 1) but I figured that they are doing their checks, and since i lived in 3 different countries it might take some time. Then again, every case is different.

Anyone knows how long does it take to go from "In Process" to "Decision made"? Many thanks in advance.

I would definitely order them. I am almost six months in and I plan to order them in at the begining of August, at the turn of the 8th month. It's a right you have and a way to keep those ppl accountable (sort of).

So is the tone of the conversation here kinda like "congratulations for obtaining DM as long as it is not too fast for my taste"? It's a forum, we are sharing experiences and I found monstergirly's feedback useful.

No. As long as the translation is sworn you are fine.

I am sure someone else will be more specific and correct me when needed, but from what I have read around, the applications kept in Mississauga are mostly the ones who theoretically should be processed in the London* office but are kept there (in Miss.) because they are more "straightforward"...

Anyone received signs of life?

My passport had the information in many languages, among those French and English. I didn't notarize it. I had other documents in my native language which I had translated and had the copies notarized.

Just checked the CIC website and my status has been updated to "Medical results have been received.". Not sure how relevant it is but hey, it is a data point and there are signs of life in Ottawa! ;D

I find it puzzling (to say the least) that CIC people misplace/lose documents. Anyway, good stuff that they are looking at August applicants.

Congrats AmericanGirlinLove! I looked at your timeline and I see they asked your passport in August; did you hit any bumps in the road since then or is it just the Standard for Ottawa?
