Letter says one thing, CIC website another

Thanks guys! Anyone else? As of now I will do an extra photo. Just to be safe. But was hoping someone would know details about this.

Action against CIC? (Legal or otherwise)

Any country that has a good social system is desirable for people from less fortunate countries. How desirable Canada is? You would have to ask them. I would guess, very. Especially places like Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. There's many issues with the system, no doubt. Processing times are...

Failed to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR

Re: Forgot to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR It's just funny, in this information they are making it clear that you only have to inform them if an accompanying family member dies, while at the website it just says plain and simple "family member". Life circumstances, how...

Letter says one thing, CIC website another

Hi For my landing interview next week I need to bring two photos, I guess for PR card. However my issue now is that CIC website and the letter they sent me contradicts them self. Letter says that one of the photos should have the date it was taken printed on the back. CIC website says it...

Failed to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR

Re: Forgot to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR The problem is always that CIC won't be specific. For example the website states certain things that you have to contact them about, while most emails says you have to contact them about any change. That's why I got confused if...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Failed to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR

Re: Forgot to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR Yes, they're not making it clear at all. In my inland spousal application we declared other than me and the wife my parents and my sister. I've been told this is the correct way. To me personally it still would make more sense...

Action against CIC? (Legal or otherwise)

Yes, but they're also being accepted on the basis that they can work and contribute.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I guess they may be extra lazy this time of year with the lack of sufficient daylight :) Hopefully soon though, since its a small office, could you go there and talk to them?

Question about the PR photo. URGENT since I have to take photos tomorrow!

Hi, I have landing next week and it my landing letter it says to bring 2 photos. I guess they will be used for the PR card. In the letter there are instructions and everything to follow, instructions for me and for the photographer. However during this whole process I have come to realize...

    UNDECLARED CHILD, WHAT TO DO

Well, I'm not saying it'll be easy, but there's definitely hope, right? Now we know there can be a way around this, if you can prove the above. As someone said earlier in the thread, I think there is a risk that the mother did this on purpose. If that is the case, maybe that could help them...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I actually drove by it last night just to see the building and get mentally prepared. I know the landing should be extremely easy but still wanna make sure to get everything right. Big day for sure. Almost wondering if its even bigger than our wedding day, sadly.

    UNDECLARED CHILD, WHAT TO DO

I think this shows that what I said in this thread or possibly another, that exemptions must occur, is in fact the case. Something worth fighting for.

By regular email. I can't remember, but are you waiting for the Etobicoke office?

Action against CIC? (Legal or otherwise)

Well, eligible within a matter of months. In what provinces is it not free, or at least extremely close to? In many Scandinavian countries you have to pay around 10 bucks for a doctors visit, but it's still considered universal "free" health care.

pls help, good or bad if CIC sent correspondence ?

The timeline will most likely get messed up - if by that you mean additional processing time. It's very likely that you missed some documents. Can you think of which? However your application shouldn't be refused because of this as long as you're aware and keep contacting CIC. The only times it...

    ecg and bp abnormal

Geogla is wrong. He could have all the heart problems in the world since excessive demand on health care does not apply to family class. Everyone else is right.

Format for photos... not the ID photos but the proof of marriage etc

We did the same thing. Sometimes we ask strangers to take a photo, or we do a selfie of us trying to catch some of the background, but most of the times we just took individual photos with same background. We didn't explain too much and we didn't sent any chat logs. We have landing interview...

Canada Post to 2 Robert Speck Parkway Address

I have never had any issues with Canada post tracking. Anyway, you should definitely call Canada post and ask what's up with this. You payed for a service and they have to come through. They have a customer service line that you can call.

Failed to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR

Re: Forgot to notify CIC about getting married before receiving PR What's a change in status though? It's usually generic and unclear. For example the website doesn't mention that you have to contact CIC if a family member dies, but however most generic emails that they send out (such as DM) does.
