I didn't even log into my profile for the last 2 weeks, and I still got the email. It seems that CIC just sent those in a batch.

Since there is so much talk about these recent "Your application has been updated" emails from CIC, I was just wondering how many people (if any) didn't receive these messages (and by the way, don't forget the message may end up in your spam folder).

To the best of my knowledge, no; at least, I didn't get any emails before any of the previous draws.

Got the email, too. No changes in profile: same score, eligible as before.

There's enough uncertainty and fear in the system as it is; I see no need to make up any additional worries.

First of all, like explained above, even if such a candidate has a PhD and a perfect age/English score, he or she would also need at least 1 year of Canadian experience or at least some knowledge of French to go above 500. Secondly, I don't think there are all that many PhDs in US who also want...

There probably are more CEC people in the 400-500 range, but it's absolutely possible for a FSW to be in that range, too (actually, FSW can get even more than 500 points if he/she has great score on every factor + good secondary language test results).

The lowest possible score is, as far as I know, 624 for FST (if you're interested in details, see here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/lowest-possible-score-for-lmiaholders-is-just-624-t269478.0.html) Of course, it's unlikely, such a candidate would be at least 45...

I find the 300k number hard to believe; my estimation would be several tens of thousands (of eligible profiles, not total profiles). For the last year analysis, we should also factor in the numbers for CEC applicants (cap was 8k last year, and it's been filled) and LMO people (they weren't...

But there also were NOC-specific caps. If some hot NOCs weren't capped, they would likely have received quite a few more applications.

I'd be thankful if you could provide a source.

Re: Fifth & Sixth Draw - March. Expecting 320+ will get ITA Seconded, I think the whole Job Bank thing is just to provide the appearance of helping candidates to find jobs, not to actually help them. If it were as important as they make it out to be, it would have already been operational.

Re: Fifth & Sixth Draw - March. Expecting 320+ will get ITA I think it's too good to be true. The most I expect is that the score may go down below 500 (and even that is optimistic). Judging by the spreadsheet (and common sense), there's a <i>lot</i> of people in the 350-450 range.

Registering into the pool doesn't affect getting a job offer in any way.

Do you include points for Canadian work experience? Max points for that are 80.
