Roughly, 10-11 months. Slower than the average here in this forum (most are between 6-8 months). It was painful having to wait; but we're extremely happy and grateful we can finally (and properly) settle here in Toronto.

Oh, I asked 'em if they've received the Re-Medical Result I sent them; along with the tracking number. I also asked if we could hand-deliver the remaining document they requested. Except they didn't answer the latter question. Simply with "YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR PASSPORT".

My favourite Email of the year! So; after almost 12 months waiting (seems longer than most people here?) I got an Email from Singapore: Ain't that the sweetest Email? ;) Anyhow, my wife is planning to deliver her passport in person; as she need to re-enter Canada anyway. Has anyone ever had...

RE-MED Prior to PPR: Sponsor participation is required in RE-MED?

Right, I know that. Just not sure if I have to do it as well, since there's mention of "your spouse/common-law partner), etc.

Well, the "In Process since February 8" if that's what you meant. And no, we don't see "medical result received", because they're requesting us to do RE-MED along with additional documents (criminal record and schedule A) and passport(!!! I KNOW!) to be sent in a single package.

RE-MED Prior to PPR: Sponsor participation is required in RE-MED?

Hey all, After months of waiting; we finally received a packaged from Singapore (we applied from Indonesia, so Mississauga forwarded our case to Singapore). They returned all of our 'submitted proofs' as well as a new document package, instructing us for a re-med. The document is addressed...

Heh; This is too good to be true. It seems that our ECAS status has also been updated to "In Process". After months of waiting (since May 2011), they finally made some progress. I just hope this isn't another system glitch like they had last time; where everyone's status turned into "in...

    Extending TRV, Visa-Run still required?

Hey all, While my wife and I are waiting for her PR application to be approved (thanks Singapore, kinda slow ;-P), we would like for have her TRV extended. We're planning to extend her TRV online. Our question is: If her TRV extension has been granted; does she still need to re-enter the...

This is REALLY odd... our ECAS status hasn't chance since May 27, 2011. ECAS has been showing (under Permanent Resident) is that they've received our application. Since then there has been no "official" communication let alone a PPR. At this rate, we have to re-do our medical again :(. I...

Just out of curiosity, how long have you known your wife prior to your wedding? and how long have you been married to your wife when you submitted your application?

Whoa, some of you who submitted your application later than mine have been getting your PRs? I'm totally jealous. :( This is such a frustrating process. My ECAS is still "Application Received" and it's been like that since May 27, 2011. :(

w00t! Thanks for the response! ACTUALLY, they just responded to my Email! They gave us our File # (though it's damn near identical to the "view" from the Case # perspective). Lesson: NEVER use the built-in form; use that "general inquiry" address. (I'm a developer, things using forms get...

yea, I never received my AOR either. I got my Case#, but never gotten a File #. I sent the Singaporean VO a couple of times; but never gotten a reply back. I checked my junkmail several times; never gotten any answer from Singapore. Also, my ECAS update is still stuck on "Application...

Dude, our timeline is quite similar to each other. I'm hoping I'm up next! I've been crazily waiting for my wife's PR to be approved for ages! To make matter worse, I'm going crazy because of this crazy heat & traffic jam in Indonesia.

Some of you have been very lucky. Your case was processed rather quickly; and you were kept in the loop along the way. As for me & my wife; we have not even received our File # (though we have our Case #). I have emailed Singapore 3 times (or so) asking if we could get a File #; and we've...

ECAS progress: System Error or Huge Steps Backward?

So, if your theory is correct, it would be safe to assume that my wife's Permanent Residence Application has been "in process" since May 27, 2011? That's the date that keeps on appearing again and again. BTW, this is also happening to another person on the Singapore Applicant thread.

ECAS progress: System Error or Huge Steps Backward?

Re: ECAS progress: System Error or Huge Steps Backwards? I'm hoping this is just a system error/glitch. I DO NOT want to start all the way from square one again. Maybe this is just unusual UI Design practice (read: strange & poor user experience) on ECAS' behalf. EDIT: I read similar...
