Hey all,
After months of waiting; we finally received a packaged from Singapore (we applied from Indonesia, so Mississauga forwarded our case to Singapore). They returned all of our 'submitted proofs' as well as a new document package, instructing us for a re-med.
The document is addressed to my wife; and I'm the one sponsoring her. Through out the document, it's mentioned that:
MEDICAL EXAMINATION:
You (and your spouse/common law partner and dependent children, if applicable) must undergo a medical examination…
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
UPDATED original good conduct certificates…. A CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED FOR YOU (AND YOUR SPOUSE / COMMON-LAW PARTNER AND EACH OF YOUR DEPENDENT CHILDREN WHO IS…) from the police authorities in all countries where you have resided for a period of six months or more since turning 18.
The thing is, I've been a canadian PR for the last 12 years. Though I had a 1.5 year stint of living in Indonesia (where I got married, worked there), I'm back in Toronto since three months ago. Am I still required to get a criminal record from Indonesia? Do I have to do a medical as well? Kind of unheard of?
Thanks,
Evan
