I didn't receive AOR either, but found out that my app was received on 28th april via ecas. My date however matches exactly with the courier delivery date.

Just tried looking myself up with the receipt number, and it doesn't seem to work. UCI works fine.

Here is the link: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app= I had my (Sponsor's) UCI from my previous visa and PR applications and used that to look myself up. If you don't have a UCI, you can try looking yourself up using your payment receipt #, but I am not sure if that works or not.

I think you have to wait a few days till it actually shows something there. The fact that u can get in means they have activated it and it's being set up. I haven't received my aor email yet, but starting today i was able to log in using my uci from my PR application few years ago. I see exactly...

Sometimes CIC goes straight to SA (No AOR). Even if you call them, they will ask you to wait the 56 days waiting period. So for now, you should just relax and wait. Have you tried looking up the status on ECAS using either your UCI (from a previous application) or maybe the payment receipt number?

ECAS takes a few days to update. So, even if you and I actually got our AORs today (even though we didn't get the email), ECAS wouldn't show it for a few days. Hopefully we have something soon. Cheers.

Did you get an email? UCI is given as part of AOR, so this is AOR. When did you apply ?

Many Congratulations. My Application was delivered on the 28th as well. Hope to receive AOR in the next day or two :D CIC is picking up good pace. I hope all the foreign Visa Offices pick up pace too.

If this is what was asked for by the official website, then you are good and have nothing to worry about.

Some Visa offices send an acknowledgement, commonly known as the AOR2. I'm not sure if Ottawa will send this or not. Some Visa offices skip the AOR2 and go straight to IP after months of waiting, and some have even known to be going straight to DM (but this is of course after quite a few months).

That is how it was traditionally, but I know they have sent some applications to Ottawa, which would have originally gone to London, UK. Secretly I wish that my application will go to Ottawa. It sounds like they are much quicker (7-8 months) than the 15 months shown on CIC website.

They have been sending some applications to Ottawa lately in order to help out overloaded visa offices across the world. Some members of the forums have mentioned that they tend to send the more straightforward cases to Ottawa for quick turnover.
