Help - Need to travel while awaiting for express entry decision

I applied for PR on April 16, been 4 months since AOR. I currently reside in Canada and wanted to wait for PR application to be finalized before travelling but I can wait any longer. I have a BOWP and will apply for Temporary Resident Visa. I am currently unemployed, so for POF of TRV I was...

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

I got mine in 25 days. It's calendar days, not business days. If they meant 32 business days that would take 1 month and a half. You get an e-mail that says you've been approved and you get the physical work permit sent in the mail. It's a relatively fast process compared to the PR process, and...

Major changes coming in this FALL- Blessing for skilled International Students!!

A bachelor's degree alone won't get you an ITA. I have 2 or more degrees now, points are 477, got invited in April. 3.5 months since AOR. 477 isn't even enough anymore... Skilled international students deserve to be awarded more points.

Major changes coming in this FALL- Blessing for skilled International Students!!

Won't believe it until I see it, McCallum has been harping the same tune for months. Express entry is a year and a half old and the only changes that have happened is that it become more unforgiving and the points required became way higher. The only way an International student can' get enough...

My two cents on new immigration rules this fall

This post is ridiculous. Students have it the worst under Express Entry, just ask the thousands who have had to leave because of it. I don't know if the poster has had any experience with Canadian education, but paying tuition doesn't immediately get you the degree or diploma. You still have to...

    Application Cancelled what next?

Your case is very peculiar. I'm glad you received your BOWP, at least you are safe until next year. What I find interesting is that your application was cancelled for incompleteness, yet you were approved for a BOWP, which can only be granted when an application has passed a completeness check...

Forgot to Mention a One Day US Trip in Travel History!!!

You're overthinking it bud, they're not gonna reject a complete and bonafide application over a missing trip in travel history...

    BOWP - UPDATE

You can try calling CIC and asking about the update. I got a similar update last Monday, it was a holiday so I called them the next day. Getting through to an actual agent isn't very easy, but I was lucky on my second try. The agent told me that the update didn't mean anything, but she was able...

    BOWP process

My BOWP just came in the mail today. You can apply online with the AOR you received when you submitted your e-APR. You can check processing times here. Mine was approved at around 25 days, and the actual work permit arrived...

    Apply for BOWP without AOR??

You can apply with that AOR you received immediately. I applied with that AOR, took around 25 days to get approved via online application. Processing times currently are around 20-25 days for online applications.

    35th Draw- Forecast - 1000 ITA's - Lowest CRS >= 460 ?

You are not alone bud, keep up the good fight. I too was waiting at 447 for a year, my profile expired and I didn't get any ITA. My PGWP expires July 29 2016, I had to finish another degree and claim point for 2 or more to get bumped up to 477 just in time to get ITA on April 6th before the...

Background check has been in progress for a month since AOR

You are really overthinking this 8) not all applications switch to "Not needed at this time". Each case is different, some get PPR in 3 weeks, others get rejected at 6 months.

Express Entry- Background Check has not been started

It's very common to hear other applicants in this forum with similar situations. From what I gather this isn't anything to worry about. A friend of mine didn't get her background check started until 5 months after AOR, her process took 5.5 months.

An "Interesting" Find (Maybe a technical glitch?!!!)

I have a foreign 4 year bachelor's and canadian 2 year diploma. I claimed points for 2 or more degrees or diplomas. I had both fields same as you, uploaded scan of the Canadian college diploma and foreign diploma along with a certified translation of it and ECA for the degree/diploma section...

BOWP, Implided Status, Leaving Canada Question

A work permit doesn't allow re-entry, you must have a valid temporary resident visa along with your work permit to be able to return to Canada. You would have to wait for your BOWP to come through, after which you would apply for a temporary resident visa.
