Yes, luckily it would be ideal. But if you have 2.5 years of experience without current employment, you're not losing 25 points, but "only" 12 - so it wouldn't be 467 to 442, but 467 to 455. I've just checked it using CRS tool. 1 or 2 years of experience award 13 points, 3+ years award 25...

I did the same and I'm sure we'll be fine! One interesting thing though - when I changed my wife's work history to "No", besides her Employment Records the optional Letter of Explanation field disappeared. Not that I have anything to explain, although I would use the opportunity to maybe point...

I requested and got issued an international marriage certificate from Croatian Registrar's Office for that purpose. Not sure how that works in India, but maybe it could be done there as well?

No problem! I am applying outside of Canada as well. kryt0n, I agree - but I got the suggestion from a lady who has just recently gone through immigration (successfully). BTW, I was writing my reference letters myself, my supervisors just signed them :)
