Removing work history on full application

Me too - removed complete wife's work history to personal history and even did the same for my self-employment. Since I have 3+ years of experience without it, it doesn't award me any extra points and it's really hard to gather all the evidence to support it.

    Proof of Funds (Express Entry)

I am in the same situation as Berty3000 and my main concern is actually (proving) the source of funds. Basically, I have my savings account and business account. I was transferring money periodically from business to savings account (exclusively, no other transactions were made from anyone...

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Yes, makes sense. No point is writing them "oh yeah, btw, I have this company you don't need to know about, since I have enough points without it and I actually don't have any solid proof for it yet" :D

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Thank you very much Mthornt! I completely agree, since I read this same advice multiple times across the forum - but I'm always glad to hear another confirmation, since these are really serious decisions to be made. BTW, will you mention your new company in the Letter of Explanation?

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Yes, luckily it would be ideal. But if you have 2.5 years of experience without current employment, you're not losing 25 points, but "only" 12 - so it wouldn't be 467 to 442, but 467 to 455. I've just checked it using CRS tool. 1 or 2 years of experience award 13 points, 3+ years award 25...

Thank you very much for sharing this - it is very important piece of information!

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Thanks AM85! Unfortunately, that's far much more trouble than having to prove regular employment... BTW, I found another post on forum that mentions the same requirements you listed...

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Thanks xpressentry! It works similarly here in Croatia, except I did most of my work freelancing on Upwork (oDesk/Elance), so I don't have any contracts in such form. Nevertheless, thank you once again for your efforts explaining this. We'll see if someone else joins the topic with some...

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I am the main applicant, so I definitely need a reference letter. And I agree with the situation you described for your wife. I have also moved my wife's work history to personal history, since she's also not claiming any points for that. However, are you sure...

reference letter for self employed after ITA

Sorry for bringing up such an old topic, but I'm interested in the same thing. I have been self-employed for last two years (and I still am), so I'll obviously have to provide a reference letter for myself. Is there anything I should be particularly careful about? Besides reference letter, I...

    PR Application timing confusion

No worries, that is obviously a bug due to so-called "hard coded" message. You do have 81 days left.

Will my application be rejected due to leaving "No" in "Working history" form?

Strange - it's back now when I checked again. Must be some kind of bug on their side. Nevermind. :)

Will my application be rejected due to leaving "No" in "Working history" form?

You've gotten a private message. Did you still have the Letter of Explanation field available for upload?

Will my application be rejected due to leaving "No" in "Working history" form?

I did the same and I'm sure we'll be fine! One interesting thing though - when I changed my wife's work history to "No", besides her Employment Records the optional Letter of Explanation field disappeared. Not that I have anything to explain, although I would use the opportunity to maybe point...

Will my application be rejected due to leaving "No" in "Working history" form?

Haha, you guys are awesome! Thanks so much DelPiero! I also read about that solution in multiple of topics across this forum - but I'm usually worried about "easy" solutions. And nothing is easier than simply removing spouse's work experience :) You probably know this :)

    Post ITA career advice

Please see this thread I posted recently: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/please-help-me-with-pr-application-submission-timing-dilemma-t469467.0.html I think it is pretty much related to your case. And yes, indeed - this forum is amazing!

Will my application be rejected due to leaving "No" in "Working history" form?

Are you absolutely 100% cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die sure about that? :) I have the exact same situation as ChristineYang - my wife (a dependant in my PR application) has no Canadian work experience and therefore no points were added for her work experience. It would save us a lot of...

    Marriage License/Certificate Upload

I requested and got issued an international marriage certificate from Croatian Registrar's Office for that purpose. Not sure how that works in India, but maybe it could be done there as well?

    NOC code in refernce letter

OK guys, I agree - it may look unexpected for an outsider to know the code, and yes, they definitely compare duties with the reference ones despite the code you've mentioned in the letter. But, again - it cannot and it did not hurt my colleagues' application, so I think there won't be any...

    NOC code in refernce letter

No problem! I am applying outside of Canada as well. kryt0n, I agree - but I got the suggestion from a lady who has just recently gone through immigration (successfully). BTW, I was writing my reference letters myself, my supervisors just signed them :)
