Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

They do seem pretty short staffed, if anyone is looking for a new career path then the CIC seem to have plenty of work...

Sponsoring for Brother-in-law for PR in manitoba

Why do you want to flee Manitoba? Did you just want to abuse the immigration system and then bugger off?

since november 2013 we dont have any hope.

Possibly, no-one on here knows CIC's future plans. Have you tried looking into the Provincial nominee program? It's skill level B so you may have some flexibility there.

IEC (WHP) Getting the full 2 years?

No, I've only ever heard of then checking that you actually have health insurance and not the duration. If you told the officer you could only get it for one year and you'll renew it for next, the officer will probably believe you (it's not as if you're trying to sneak into the country and...

IEC (WHP) Getting the full 2 years?

Yeah, you'll just be issued a work permit for the 24 months (as long as your passport is valid for the 2 years). Have fun on your working holiday, it'll be awesome. Probably. I'm thinking Whistler?

IEC (WHP) Getting the full 2 years?

It depends on which country you're applying under. I know that Irish participants get two years, British get 1 year, Italian get 6 months and then 6 months visitor, etc. I've been on the WHV/IEC three times (there was a change in rules and I could participate three times), each time I had to...

    Problem- job lost please help

Yea, i left my job for another one (well, technically I was moving cities and had to find another one) and it was no problem. As for your work permit, I don't know what to tell you. You could try applying for BOWP but I doubt you will receive it, seeing as you've had the Medical Request you'll...

What the heck is going on with the PNP and PGWP and FSWP? What to do?

No, you don't need an LMO. You have a valid work permit, so you won't need to go through the hassle of your employer sponsoring you. You can apply for PNP and CEC at the same time. The applications will be separate, each have their own fees, and non-refundable. People apply for both on the off...

why the police certificate is valid for only 3 months?

www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp#5609E4 Scroll down to the police certificate bit. For some reason my phone won't let me copy the text but it states that it needs to be 3 months old at the time of application.

was Baker a good idea or how to stay in Canada?

Retwant, you better prepare for retaliation after not keeping your mouth shut. What do you think he'll do? My money is on him calling his mommy to complain....

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Do you mean you landed march/april/may 10th? Tbh, I know this isn't great to hear, but could you delay your flight? Also, I forgot to get myself added to the spreadsheet, I landed on April 6th at Boundary Bay/Tsawwassen.

Oh God Please send PPR soon.... :(

See, that's your mistake, The Sun just like to fiddle with the paperwork, puts some September apps in the July, places apps in the Request Docs pile. Mischievous little bugger.

Oh God Please send PPR soon.... :(

You're asking the wrong guy, it's Thor that has discretion at CIC.

Do veterinary technicians qualify for work permits in Canada?

The vet technician NOC code 3213 is skill level B, so I imagine you should be able to get a work permit. You're best posting in the Foreign Worker section though, they'd have a better idea of obtaining a work permit.

One thing I fail to understand

I was one of those fortunate to sneak onto CEC with NOC 1311, I was kinda surprised to see it removed in November considering it takes a fair amount of knowledge and skill and ( I'm sure I'll get some hate here) that other skill level B jobs should be targeted rather than 1311. If you're in BC...

    Decision made- bad or good?

how long ago did you get the decision made notification? Are you from a visa exempt country? I'm sure you're fine btw, if you've paid your RPRF, you medical was fine and you haven't had any requests for additional information then I would imagine you'll soon be getting either a PPR email or a...

    No food sector in TFW

Probably won't affect you if you currently have a work permit and if you are eligible for CEC. Unless you're anticipating it to affect you?

    CEC Elegibility

You will need to get another work permit to cover the extra month, either with another working holiday permit or LMO work permit or something else. Good luck!
