I feel like to sue the Canadian Embassy and Government...

I was wondering the same thing. That is very unusual, even with immigration aside.

anyone here waited for them to ask you to pay the RFPR?

We waited as well and I wish we hadn't. But I also sent a physical copy to Mississauga, with a cover letter explaining the situation on the day they requested it. So hopefully that will help speed things up a bit. We'll see though.

Congrats crna80! So it seems COPRs are coming about one month after PPR. And yeah, waiting is hard, but it will all be over sooner or later.

    Options for Fiance to Canada

It's better than nothing. The more ties she has to her home country, the better her chances are in getting a visitor visa. It still might not work, there never is a guarantee that it will, but it's better than nothing.

CPP-O looks like they are pushing out more PPRs now which is good. Must be the fact that spring is coming, maybe they're in a better mood to grant PRs now, haha. Hopefully they can push through the rest of Julyers who haven't heard anything, get to the remainder of August applicants, and then...

    Letters of support???

I'd say your better off with a typed up letter that is signed by the person who wrote it. Just because sometimes people don't have the most eligible handwriting, and it'll just be easier for the VO to read something typed up instead of handwritten.

expert advice needed: photos look staged?

I agree. We sent in about 20 pictures total for our common law application and were approved in 6 months without the need for an interview. What you should send is pictures that show the progression of your relationship over time, not a bunch of pictures of virtually the same thing. We broke...

    Valentine's Day.. Doing anything special?

Well I'm still not working (just in Canada as a visitor still) so I plan to cook my fiance a nice dinner with a bunch of his favourite foods and some candles, then we're gonna watch a movie of his choosing afterwards.

Thanks Sweden! I was hoping that was the case but wanted to double check.

Do I need to email or mail them a copy of the passport?

So yesterday I got PPR and a request to pay my RPRF from CPP-O. My fiance (sponsor) paid the fees online last night, so I'm sending it off today. My question is can I just email them everything or do I need to send it to them in the mail? This is what the letter said: In order to continue...

    relationship proof ???????

If the gist of them is the same, you should be fine as long as it's not word for word the same thing. All of my letters were typed and signed by the various people who wrote them. The message was generally the same and I just got my PPR with no need for an interview.

Should I pay for the RPRF fee before it's requested?

So I applied back at the very beginning of August for my PR and haven't heard anything from CIC since my fiance was approved as my sponsor. Hopefully we'll hear something soon though. Anyway I was wondering if it might be a good idea to just send off my RPRF payment before they ask for it, or...

Thanks. :) I think I'm going to order mine at the beginning of next week. My medicals expire in April and we are going on vacation then, so I'm hoping they will send me my COPR by then.
