This looks like PPR to me (I'll update the spreadsheet). It seems a little weird that they are looking for sponsor financial information after your sponsor has been approved, but what do I know? I would send it by email and mention that you'd be happy to send hard copies if necessary, but it shouldn't be because they are asking for copies, not originals.
We were asked to send proof that my husband was residing in Ontario long after we received his sponsor approval. I thought it was unusual ,but when I posted no one seemed to think anything. But it was easily proved with T4 pay stubs utility bills bank statements and visa statements. Once they had had that we received ppr. Good luck. At least there is progress.

Received communication!!! July 30th Applicant. Received an e-mail stating that they expect to finalize my husband's application without a personal interview!!! :D

That is awesome! CIC received my app August 2nd, so maybe I will hear something in the next few weeks along with everyone who applied in July.

hey what would you think of this?
we got ppr on 12/12/12 and sent it out along with the extra proof we were planing to relocate to Canada upon approval. We then got another e-mail re-requesting a copy of the passport again last Friday which we quickly re-sent the scan of passport along with an email asking if anything else was needed to please let us know. We got this today from CIC

Good day,

Thank you for the document.

Warm regards,

Hi! did you send the docs by email? i would prefer to as it will obviously get there quicker than snail mail. How long was it after you sent in these docs to when you got ppr? I find it strange as they asked for copy of my passport in the same email as the additional docs?

we sent the docs with a signature required so for a few bucks they got there the next day. My husband mailed them from just outside Ottawa on Thursday, they were signed for on Friday and received ppr on Monday. Emailed and signature required snail mail passport copy today so we will see how long to hear something else. I just feel I have proof something was sent and received when I send it signature required, expensive but peace of mind

Yeh I totally understand what you mean about sending them with the signature requirement! I will send everything off by email tmr and also get it in the post too, just to cover my back! did they ask you to pay the Right of Permanent Residency Fee ($490) or did you already pay that?

I paid it with the initial application. Just once less step I thought I would have to take.

yup...i didnt think about that! did you get specific confirmation that you wouldn't need an interview? I haven't heard either way but they're asking me for my passport copy and payment so assuming they dont want to see me?

My email included this This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing. I put the underline in.

We all have a million questions so no matter about that. The only thing I've learned through all of this is it is never the exact same for anybody. I received the email requesting documents supporting my husband living in Canada. One day after they received those I received another email with the interview quote and passport request. That was on Monday. so now we wait some more! :)

Yay! E-cas updated to say medical received! Does that mean I can update my medical requested thingie on here?

Emily_Anya - Was your sponsorship common law or spousal? Just want to get an idea if maybe common law gets processed faster than spousal.

Hi Guys...I just realized that I forgot to mention something when my husband received his PPR, it also said this...

YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED BY THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT – OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

so Ottawa will be finalizing it, not another visa office. I remember a couple of people asking. so i just thought I'd let ya'll know :)
