I simply do not get why people go through all the troubles of becoming a PR and soon after bugger off again somewhere else. Missing valuable days, weeks, months it takes to remain a PR, then having issues later on. Why not COMMIT to Canada and stay? Earn your residency by contributing to this...

Well, I also got a job within 3 weeks of being here in my field of expertise (actually two, one was part time) No problem at all. Only 20 percent of jobs are regulated, if yours is within, then obviously the market is tough. If not regulated, the world is your oyster.

I would not say easy, nothing is easy when it comes to finding a job. Be positive, prepared and at the right time at the right place.

I am not from Australia, even further, NZ. And money does not really interest me anymore, I go for lifestyle and the fact that Canada is big and there is a lot to do. I am in Vancouver and just love it here! Since I have no children to look after, my wife and I just enjoy it here for ourselves...

Thanks for asking, all is sorted and under control. I had almost 3 years to prepare and make connections. Next week will be full with meeting people that are expecting me to drop in. So fingers crossed..Otherwise I have to extend my holidays.. ;D
