Hi,

My COPR was mailed to me by the New York Consulate on May 28th 2013. It has not been received in Vancouver Canada.

I have emailed both New York and Ottawa to ask how to go about re-issuing our COPR however they have not responded. The call centre cannot help as my case is with an office outside of Canada. Their advice was to continue waiting for COPR to arrive (already 6+ weeks) or for an email from New York (which has not been forthcoming)

Does anyone have any advice or ideas? If I was to go to the border to land would the officials their be able to pull my COPR from the system?

Thanks. Matt

Bumped in the hope of a reply!

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My partner and I are hugely stressed by this situation.

Thanks. Matt

I think you should make a letter stating all the facts, first fax them to the VO and then ship it to them.

Thanks for you idea. I think I will do that.

Can anyone else think of anything? I believe New York is ignoring my emails as previously they have replied in 1 or 2 days.

I believe New York cases are transferred to CPP-Ottawa ?

OK good to know. I will have already contacted Ottawa as well as New York and have zero response from either. Now after 7 weeks package has still not arrived.

OK problem solved.

The New York office refused to respond to any of my enquires. I know this because 1 hour after my MP contacted them on my behalf I got a response promising that COPR would be reissued by Fedex that day. Which it was.

I'm very grateful for my MPs assistance but I cannot believe that the office would simply ignore an applicant who depended on them to reply in order to land as a permanent resident.
