One thing to remember when getting your document is to make sure the duties/description of the role closely matches the NOC code for which you are using. I've seen people in the forum talk about them getting rejected even with having the same job title, if the description doesn't match.

Exporting/Importing Vehicle - US to Canada ONLY!

Not sure exactly what problems, if any, you might encounter by not exporting your car first, but in my case I was asked multiple times by Canadian officials if I had exported the car first, and then there was a number on the paperwork (I believe, could be wrong) that was used during the import...

Basically yes, the when you get to the customs agent, you'll let them know what you're there to do and they'll direct you on where to go. Getting your social insurance number normally requires a separate trip, however at Pearson Airport you can get it right on site. This is not necessarily the...

    US-based applicants, let's connect here

I would apply as soon as possible. EE and the other immigration streams are constantly changing, and so while you may be anticipating a score of 481, CIC can change the rules pretty quickly and all of sudden your situation completely changes. For example in Nov. 2016 when they changed what...

    US-based applicants, let's connect here

Soft landing is pretty straight forward. We did ours at Pearson Airport (Toronto), and it was pretty fast and simple. We first did our quick interview with immigration, and then stopped next door to get our social insurance numbers. Then before leaving we had our items to follow lists stamped...

I'd def give myself more than an hour, the slightest delay and you're screwed. I'd honestly take the direct flight, I've learned my lesson the hard way.

The COPR doesn't say specifically as far as I know, however I submitted all my docs in color to be on the safe side.

    US to Canada

Congrats on your first post... I'm in Brossard, so you're just up the road from me. Are you coming from NY or VT? Anyway, since you're not married yet, I believe you'd need to be able to prove that you've lived together for a year. Doesn't sound like that's the case either, so this link may...

The COPR is actually a long form document that you'll receive. I believe all PRs get this, the only difference is we don't the counterfoil (visa attached in our passport). I'm pretty sure this is because we can enter Canada with US passport alone, not all countries are able to do this.

    PR Card: Can't update address

Unfortunately not besides calling and speaking to a rep, or using the webform, looks like those have already been tried. Not sure where you're located, but I def found it easier to get through with a Canadian number.

    PR Card: Can't update address

It turned out I had the correct address in the first so I never needed to change it. I received my card, but my wife still hasn't (rejected photos)...

I'm a US citizen. I've flown back and forth from US to Canada 3 times so far, and have not been asked for my PR card even once.

AOR in January 2017 - Connect Here!

They may or may not ask you to import the car on the spot. Are you driving back and forth the border for work each day? If so, you'll want to start the import process, because eventually CBP will hassle you about it. Is it paid off?
