*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

="NK_Kaul, post: 9319220, member: 812570"] What's the difference between application received date and AOR ? Application received just means that the envelope made it to the processing centre. AOR means they went through your application and confirmed it is complete. At this point, you know...

More info here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/dual-intent-applicants.html Keep in mind that due to covid travel restrictions, you'll need documents to prove your relationship to...

*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

Under the principle of "dual intent" it is perfectly legitimate for you to enter as a visitor while you have a PR application in process. You just need to say you are entering as a visitor and will stay permanently if your PR is processed during your visit. But you should stress that you will...

My guess is that Germans don't need a visa to visit, so she entered as a visitor with dual intent to become PR.

You should be exempt from travel restrictions in Canada if you enter with your husband and wait for your application to be completed. During that time, you should be able to take out private health insurance rather cheaply while you wait to qualify for provincial healthcare. I don't know your...

Only the paper letter via regular mail. But my wife's GCKey does say she was approved as my sponsor, though.

In my case, SA was approved the day after AOR, but the notification was sent to us by international snail mail, so we did not find out until 3 weeks later. This is possible in your case as well.

    Police Certificates

You need police certificates for Canada and the UK. Generally, IRCC do not ask for police certificates for other countries you have lived in for less than 6 months, although in theory they could. For now, just provide the UK and Canada ones. It's highly unlikely they'll ask for more.

    Update on IRCC processing capability

Yes, and with the progress bar, to lower expectations. I'm sure that most people will be processed faster than 22 months, as currently indicated by their May 2019 date. But they want to cover their asses for those that fall through the cracks.

Worried about our red flags! PLEASE HELP. Spouse sponsorship.

It sounds like you have more than enough proof of the genuine nature of your relationship. The proof you are providing is much more than is required or common. I don't know if you will be asked to do an interview, but even if you are, I would say there is nothing to fear. I feel your pain at the...

    Update on IRCC processing capability

I've only been waiting 7 months, so it must be a general email. I concur with others saying that it's ridiculous. At this point, "because of COVID we can't be held accountable to any reasonable standard" is a lame excuse.

For me, all were issued within 2 days of each other. I got the medical request by email the day after AOR. 3 weeks later, I received letters by snail mail with SA and exempting me from biometrics (I previously provided them). The letters were dated the day after my AOR. Not sure why some...

Received SA by snail mail today. Turns out it was approved the day after AOR, but took til now to find out because they sent a letter despite having my wife's email... The letter says "your file will be sent to a visa office for processing," but no office is listed. Anyone else in the same boat?

*** September 2020 - Outland Spousal (Family Class) Sponsorship ***

I think it varies, but for me, I was able to link the application about a day after I received my first correspondence from IRCC (a request for an additional PCC - I never got a separate AOR letter/email). At first I had some trouble because I was entering "1" for the number of people in the...

ECAS is one way to check on the progress of your application (along with a GCKey account). Sometimes it will show different information than GCKey, but usually GCKey is more up to date in my experience. You need either your app number or UCI (unique client identifier) to access both services...

    Lag between AOR and SA

Ok, yeah both those parts are done for me. So I guess it's just a waiting game for SA now.

    Lag between AOR and SA

OK, thanks for the info. Can other aspects of the application still be processed in the meantime? Or will this hold everything else up until it is done?

When should I receive confirmation that additional documents were received?

Just got confirmation. No email, it just shows they were received in GCKey. Took about 2 weeks to show up.

    Multiple IRCC submissions question?

Don't worry. You may not get responses to your webforms, but people send multiple webforms all the time. Makes no difference in decision making.
