You'll eventually get advised of visa office. If you need to update something, you can do so through webform.

Since you have SA letter, you might (in a few weeks for example) order GCMS notes. That may have info about where it's sent (where you would find out earlier). Would also give you read on the preliminary assessment, which may well be neutral, but one way to find out.

Sure. They might.

Not sure it makes much difference to you at this stage but if you're prepared to wait on phone to find out, sure.

Note there have been some cases here of applicants being told it's going to visa office X and sometime later it turns up at another one. IRCC is moving things around, seemingly to deal with backlogs.

I called IRCC. They said the application’s primary office is still Sydney NS and secondary office as Mississauga even after SA APPROVAL. Not sure what’s going on!

This could be a new way of processing since they announced recently new hires in Sydney. At any rate, you should be glad for time being in Sydney and not Mississauga, as that currently seems to be one of the most frozen offices with a large backlog.

Will it 'help'? What do you mean?

If you want to know something concrete about your file, that's mostly the only way. But it won't speed it up or anything.

IRCC agent said today that my application is in transit to Ottawa.

Eventually your VO will be Ottawa. Call them again once PA status goes to "Application Received" on ECAS.

Thank you for your reply. PA is from India so ideally it would go to VO from India. What concerns me is the time it is taking from them to initiate the transfer of file to visa office as the file as of today is still in Sydney office.it took us 8 months to get AOR and 40 days from there for sponsor decision.

If they want to transfer New Delhi than they would have mentioned that in SA however, lately to manage case load they trasfer indian application's file to Ottawa. Still if you want to make sure that just check ECAS and when that change to "Application received" call them and they will tell you correct VO.

BTW did you check your ECAS status?
