I applied in April and eligibility review hasn't started for me yet either. Some people applied a long time before that too.
There is nothing for you to do but wait. The processing time is shown as 8 weeks, so you're well inside that timeframe.
Interesting that this may be a requirement for India, but not for other countries? Seems discriminatory, no?
That said, those tweets are ambiguous, and tweets can not be used as official sources of information. What does the IRCC WEBSITE say?
If you are applying under non-SDS category then there is NO REQUIREMENT to show language test results for the purpose of attaining a study permit. If the educational institution has accepted your language test results then you're good to go.
I’m in the same boat as OP. Eligibility hasn’t started.
I applied on April 6 with biometrics done on April 20th.
I ordered GCMS notes on May 29th, figuring that eligibility review would start soon. Trying to mitigate against a 30 day delay if for some reason my application is refused. At this...
There is no requirement for a 6 month average balance statement. I don't know why people complicate things. Neez has provided a list of acceptable documents. You do not need to provide all of those documents listed either. It's about providing sufficient proof that you can pay for your fees and...
I'm not sure on Spain. UK was showing 5 weeks before they stopped giving individual office processing times and gave a blanket number covering all offices. It then jumped to 12 weeks. Yesterday it was showing 8 weeks with an update due later today.
It may be worth seeing a reputable lawyer or immigration consultant in Canada. Explain everything honestly and see what their viewpoint is.
I would hope, if you did file for a renewal, that a country that seems to pride itself on family and compassion would see that those are exactly the values...
I live in the UK with my husband, a British citizen from birth. As sqfit says, you are on a path that can lead to citizenship. It is not a temporary status like worker/student and is nothing like the status of someone in the Middle East. You're in a European country. In the UK there is a further...
I understand what you're saying because the only option on their form that actually fits is "permanent resident". The other categories aren't even close. They technically don't have PR in Spain, or the UK where I am based. I had to choose permanent resident on my study application too, although...
I think your father passing (I'm sorry), and helping look after your mum are good, decent reasons for not travelling at that time.
If that's not the basis for compassionate dispensation then I really don't know what is.
That said, if you can wait for the 24 months to pass before applying for...
No update from me. Eligibility has not even started. Still on background check since April 20th. London, UK office (I believe).
Question about GCMS notes. We all know it takes around 30 days, or more, to receive them. Is it worth submitting an application for the notes now, knowing that it...
Germany is a fine country, and I'm sure you would enjoy your time there.
The problem seems to be that you come from a country from which you don't want to return, and that this position in Germany does not offer a rapid route to citizenship. Therefore you're reluctant to give up on the...
No, my proposed college is in Toronto. I am living in the UK so believe that the London Visa office is dealing with my application? That's where I had to give biometrics anyway.
Please note that NO language test results are required for Study permit if applying non-SDS.
If your educational institution accepts Duo lingo for their language requirements (as many now do) then you’re fine.
I believe SDS stream DOES require IELTS results, though not sure.
