Starting New Job Under Implied Status

Hello all, I have a tricky question for the team. I am currently working on a PGWP. I've applied for PR Status through Spousal Sponsorship as well as the Open Work Permit through the 1-year pilot program associated with the spousal sponsorship. I'm currently working a job that I hate, however I...

Question for those who have RECEIVED their OWP from the 1 Year Pilot Program

Yeah my current work permit is still legal, and will be until April 15. Since today is March 26th, that means I still have legal status. I resent my package around March 13th (I copied a little bit of that post so I wouldn't have to type it all again). Thanks for that link -- a lot of helpful...

Question for those who have RECEIVED their OWP from the 1 Year Pilot Program

Hello all! About Me: Female 24 American Applying for Inland Family-Class Sponsorship by my common-law spouse as well as the OWP (through the one-year pilot program). I have a tricky question. I originally submitted my Sponsorship Forms + the Open Work Permit (Pilot Program): Jan 21 2015 It was...

Leaving Country While Applying (Family Class + OWP)

I thankfully already thought ahead about it and contacted immigration about the first concern, and the immigration agent assured me that I still had implied status as a worker, regardless of the type of work permit I had, and I could continue working at my current job. He even sent me documents...

Leaving Country While Applying (Family Class + OWP)

My current status is Canada is Worker under the Post-Graduate Work Permit. But it's expiring April 15th. I know that I have implied status because I've sent my package before my current status runs out, but I guess I'm just curious as to if my new OWP would also allow me to leave the country...

Do you update entire package when it is returned to you for missing documents?

Yeah they ask you to submit a copy of the letter, so hopefully that might help a *bit*. Thanks a bunch for your clear answer :).

Do you update entire package when it is returned to you for missing documents?

Thankfully I saved all my completed forms on the computer so I just have to edit it and re-print. It's just a bummer that two months have been wasted :(.

Do you update entire package when it is returned to you for missing documents?

Yes they sent back the entire application. They said please return the entire package with the missing form and all requested documents/information (with a copy of that letter) in order to be processed. Would you update the form then with the new recent arrival date?

Do you update entire package when it is returned to you for missing documents?

First submitted: Jan 21 2015 I received a returned package claiming missing documents: March 12 2015 My spouse forgot to sign a form and it was returned to me. He has signed the document and I plan to return it tomorrow. However... I have recently left and returned to Canada (family member...

    Missing Documents Question

I just realized another problem. I have recently left and returned to Canada (family member death), making my "most recent entry to Canada" a different date than the one I have on my Generic Application form that I put. I also have a new stamp now. Do I need to edit these documents and update...

    Missing Documents Question

I'm still not understanding. Receive it as it arrives at the CIC? Or received it as a living breathing person opened it and began processing it? I live in Canada currently so I'm not worried about it arriving in time, I'm just worried about it being opened in time. I have literally an exact...

    Missing Documents Question

I'm going to send it priority tomorrow so it will arrive by the time they get to work on Monday. Do they need to OPEN it for it to matter, or does it just need to be postmarked in the mail? I... can't breathe.

    Missing Documents Question

Submitted: Jan 21 2015 Returned to me w/ letter claiming missing documents: March 12 2015 My file was returned to me because my spouse forgot to sign a document. He's signed it and I'm sending it off first thing in the morning. Does this set-back put me at the bottom of the pile again? Am I...

Question: Applied In-Land, But Current Visa Coming to an End

I think I might try to go before March 15th, would be more than 30 days before my current permit expires. Hopefully that will be the best case. Seeing my grandparents is very important to me, almost as important as my PR application. I feel like they really would have no valid reason to deny me...

Question: Applied In-Land, But Current Visa Coming to an End

That's really unfortunate to hear. However I've left often to visit my family/friends on this current work permit, and have never, ever had any issues re-entering the country. I'm wondering, if they haven't even opened my package, what would suddenly change to make it dangerous for me to leave.

Question: Applied In-Land, But Current Visa Coming to an End

Thanks for the quick reply! So in regards to that I actually have a serious question: I have two elderly grandparents that I REALLY want to see, and I don't think I will have the chance to in two years if you understand what I'm saying. My current PGWP is valid until April 15th of this year...

Question: Applied In-Land, But Current Visa Coming to an End

Hey guys. I'm in sort of a predicament, and I'm looking for help on what to do next. I'm a US Citizen, currently in Canada on a Work Permit (Post-Grad) that expires April 15th, 2015, and I have applied for Family-Class Sponsorship (under my common-law partner) from INSIDE Canada in early...
