    You are free to leave Canada after you land if you wish. Just remember you can't fly back into Canada without your PR card.

    You need to land before your medical expires, which is within one year. Based on when you took your medical you could make an estimation. Or wait until your application is approved. You can then see the validity of counterfoil online
