First of all, it is some kind of relief that they put a date to it. I was very certain that this year there was no way they could be able to implement it, so now they have to consult every possible stakeholder to come up with a list of occupations and degrees which are suitable for the Canadian...

Just received an email from IRCC but I don't know what's next

It means they got the document and that request doesn't apply anymore, hence "not applicable".

At 1,500 per draw, unfortunately not. Not even in 3 months. They would clear perhaps 500 - 800 candidates depending on the PNPs. Can't really comprehend why they would stay at the 1,500 level anyway, because taking into account the 6 month rule, all of these applications are meant for 2023...

Yes, but I wouldn't place more than 2,000 above 525 points and most of the new candidates added biweekly, I believe fall in the range of 501 - 525.

Hey guys, since we are in this never ending waiting "worm hole", any predictions for this week ? I had a lot free time this weekend, strolling along the seaside and looking at the EE pool, somehow not believing at all that there could be more than 1,500 (freaking max 2000) out of the 8,000...

"We lost a hero of the Sikh community" said longtime friend Ragibtir Bhinder speaking at the scene of the shooting. "We'd like this man to live a hundred years. It's hurting us." Sorry mate, someone decided that today would be his last one.

Another fun way to try to figure out the distribution of the 8,000 candidates over 500 points is just to take the already distribution of candidates in the pool and add the 62 points of French. There are a lot of variations, but lets say they tend to be in the same percentage distribution...

The score for someone outland with CLB 9 in English, CLB 7 in French, 3 year experience, with Masters and under 30 years old is 531. Having brother sister, you would land in 546. Having a year of Canadian experience that would give you 586. The score for someone inland with CLB 9 in English...

Just as we were waiting for Ontario to conduct a Tech or HCP draw, they do another Skilled Trades one. I don't know why I didn't work as a painter these years, it pays way better, less working hours and a bonus PNP nomination.

Imagine that, holding 39% of the population, but being allocated a quota of 9,750 people to chose from. Too bad for them, the Canadian government is focused elsewhere, probably planning a Sri Lankan Express Entry by autumn.

The target quota for Federal High Skilled is 55,900. Low range 52,000 and high range 64,000.

You are right about NOI not being equal to nominations, but NOIs of one year precede the next years nominations. Also, in 2020 they sent 9,082 NOI to candidates in the Express Entry pool. Either way, I have no luck with Ontario whatsoever. Eligible for two streams, picked by none.

Ontario had an allocation of 8,350 plus an additional 250 nominations specifically for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations and they sent 8,234 NOI in 2021. So, we can safely assume that they will also send up to 2,900 NOI this year.
