Hiya. You don't need to fill anything. The officer who completes your landing formalities will send one of your COPR to the office that issues PR cards. Hope this helps. Good luck with your new life in Canada.
This is news to me. I thought that needed to apply for travel document as soon a we leave Canada. If the landing visa is still valid, are you sure that we can Re enter Canada. Isn't the visa supposed to be a single entry visa? Please advise. Thanks
Can somebody here advice if it would be better to complete landing procedures and then return back to home country to resign from a job? Or is it safe enough to resign, pack up and land in Canada? In other words is a COPR pretty much guaranteed or is there still some uncertainty till one lands...
Hey Winterfox! Congratulations on landing. Is a job offer really needed for old CEC applicants? I thought we were not obliged to have a job offer on hand. Please advise. I am about to resign from my present job outside Canada and then land in a month from now. Do I really need to have a job offer?
Some fellow applicants have mentioned that they were not asked for proof of funds during landing. It really depends on the officer at the border. Its always better to be prepared with all supporting documents though.
CEC applicants do NOT need a job offer to land. Relax. I do not have a job offer and I still intend to land sometime in June this year. I too am out of country. Hope this helps :)
Hi. You do NOT need a job offer. As for proof of funds, I think it was indicated somewhere in the PR application. ($ 11,086 for a single person, $ 13,801 for two family members??). These numbers could have changed though.
Hello. Has anybody sent their passports to the VFS in London after PPR? Does any fellow applicant know how long it takes for the VFS in London to send the passport to the Canadian High Commission/Embassy? I plan to send mine soon. However I have no idea of how long it could take to get a COPR...
You might want to send an email to CIC. They would appreciate your honesty and ask for an amended form. Chances are that they already know this based on your background checks and might have decided to overlook it as it can be a genuine mistake. This of course is simply a speculation. It's...
Hi Deb_India. You will hear something soon. It takes longer for people outside Canada, because we need a Visa in addition to a COPR. Hang in there. The wait is almost over.
Hi Gii87. Don't worry. It will take a few days to show up. In my case I saw it in about 10 days after I sent the medical details to CIC. Sometimes the e-cas takes forever to update. If you get an email from CIC acknowledging receipt that they have received medicals, you can be sure that they...
Thanks OhWow. I did get a second PPR on that date. You are right. It could mean that. What I am worried about is CIC sending an email later asking to return the COPR like we heard from a fellow applicant yesterday. The whole process is becoming increasingly stressful. How many of you here have...
