Sponsoring illegal Mexican immigrant living in the USA

With the utmost respect, the posters replying on this thread are and have been referring to Canadian immigration procedures & practices, based on the Canadian government's published procedures, practices & law, as well as actual experience of the same. As far as I can see, you, so far, are the...

Sponsoring illegal Mexican immigrant living in the USA

In that case, start here, and work your way through the forms. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp Always be completely truthful. When in doubt, have a look at Schnookololy's posts & faqs about spousal sponsorship. If you are still not sure, come back and ask specific...

What does your rejection letter actually say? Is it a rejection letter from the academic institution for the course, or from CIC for the study permit?

Sponsoring illegal Mexican immigrant living in the USA

Going back to the start: Are you, the OP, a Canadian citizen? Or a PR? Do you & your boyfriend qualify for common-law (living together for at least 12 months?) Can you provide proof of that?

The visa office will refer her to the online guide for applying for spousal sponsorship; if they even let her through the door. see Ponga's reply which x-posted with mine The rest of your (CanV) post does not stand up in light of application requirements & practices. *some* of what you say...

Racial sensitivity training for white people

As a "white person", I'm quite sincerely shocked and annoyed at *your* racist judgements. I've lived & worked in countries where I was part of a racial minority. Canada doesn't come even close to equalizing the discrimination... For an example within your comprehension scale : Try Quebec, as a...

    unfortunate but true

@Newtone & @Edgar: Goodness Gracious me!! Canada is not the "Promised Land". There are good & bad experiences for immigrants. Some may seem exaggerated, depending on one's *personal* experience. I've seen & experienced both good and bad as an immigrant here in Canada. Most recently, I'm...

Dual citizenship: entering versus WP application - Advice needed please

With a visa-exempt passport, you may be eligible to apply for & get a spousal open work permit at the border. This is known as "going around the flagpole", hence "flagpoling", for those already in Canada. If you are within easy travelling distance of the border, & meet requirements, & have v-e...

ALL APPLICANTS AROUND THE WORLD JOIN HERE FOR EXPRESS ENTRY

You will need to look at each pnp programme by province. If Google is not broken today, I'd suggest a search of "pnp [name of province]". Are you presently in Canada? If so what is your status here?

Dual citizenship: entering versus WP application - Advice needed please

If I were you, in my personal & entirely inexpert opinion only, I'd go with Italian passport/citizenship. I'd flagpole.

settling in Montreal Quebec - canadian PR holder

Child benefits are not based on/affected by the possession of a CSQ. I *think*, but can't find a straight answer, that the free French lessons *may* be available to all new immigrants with PR, with or without CSQ; I'd be interested to know the definitive answer as that is a significant benefit...

Sponsoring illegal Mexican immigrant living in the USA

(Pedants' note: it's a consulate not an embassy ;) ) No. Complete waste of time. As has been mentioned already: an interview is not compulsory. *If* one is required, it will most likely be in Mexico, but no one, other than perhaps the VO who processes the application, can answer that question.

IEC Working holiday and Travel Itinerary?

Keep it simple: approximate arrival date, where you plan to land/seek work, possible places you might visit, approximate departure date. Don't overthink it :).
