Is PR Card renewal mandatory for those who are visa exempt?

See bold: No... In my/my family's *personal* experience. Except for possible closer questioning (secondary) on coming back into Canada. Not a problem if one meets Residence requirements. I remember having this discussion with a CIC employee *years* ago. Short answer: expired PR card + no...

    sponsor Canadian residency

Are you a Canadian citizen or a PR? And are you submitting an inland or Outland application? Your wife's marketing diploma is possibly irrelevant, and/or waaaaay down low on the list of useful documents...

    Current Employer Letter

It has been a very long time since I sent anything to CIC. However, back when I did: if online I always politely requested an acknowledgement of receipt (& always got one); if a direct upload I always printed out the page that showed the upload had gone through; if by snail mail - I always sent...

ALL APPLICANTS AROUND THE WORLD JOIN HERE FOR EXPRESS ENTRY

You don't need the PCC to submit a profile. Be aware that while CIC specifies that a pcc is required for countries where one has resided for 6 months or more continuously (not your case), they will sometimes request & require one even if one did not reside in a country for 6 months...

IS CIC CRAZY ASKING FOR IRRELEVANT DOCUMENTS

In reverse order: Probably not *quite* crazy, just relying on machines which spit out requirements based on the parameters of what has been input... It's hard to programme common sense ;) Passport office locations ("urgent" applications need to be done in person)...

    Custody / PR legal question...

I just wanted to add about a million ++++1s to Alurra71's advice here! And much support to the OP & family. It's very scary/stressful when something like this happens, even without the added complication of an international border. My children's father attempted a similar "stunt" years ago; I...

    LMIA application processing time?

See bolded: the documentary requirements vary depending on job/LMIA categories. I suggest both you and your employer have a good read here: http://www.esdc.gc.ca/eng/jobs/foreign_workers/reform/info_emp.shtml The fact that he's just employed 3 Canadians for the same position *might* suggest...

Should I correct this mistake in forms later

As a general observation, you should notify CIC of an error as soon as possible.

    Work permit crisis?!?!?! Help, anyone?

Ok, I understand that; however, has your employer provided their offer of employment directly to CIC and paid the employer compliance fee (if relevant)? If I were you, & while waiting for information from CIC directly, I'd clear out my internet cache & cookies, & try again: CIC's online...
