Having two permits at the same time

Here's your written confirmation from the official website itself: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1618&top=17 Immigration lawyers shouldn't be considered as perfect. I remember seeing one immigration lawyer's video on YouTube in which he says that self-employment isn't...

Reconsideration Request - Request Letter to upload LOA

Congrats! It's good that you filed for reconsideration, too many people just accept the rejection.

Is it a must to attach a Statement of Purpose (SOP)?

Unless you're from a visa exempt country like the UK, USA etc, LOE/SOP is basically a de facto requirement.

    GCMS Notes

I'm aware. The new portal is the same for both. The video is for visitor visa but the only difference between a study permit application and a visitor visa application on the new portal are extra questions on DLI, your program, and whether you have a GIC. Everything else is the same.

Your agent should've used the newer portal. It's so much easier to fill than dealing with a dozen PDFs.

    GCMS Notes

Your friend is wrong. The officer who will see your new study permit application will have access to your past GCMS notes anyway. So I fail to see how mention of notes will have negative impact on your file.

    Visa Refusal

Still a very important document. The only nationalities who can safely get study permits without LOE are USA/EU/UK etc. @joy123osa As you're Nigerian, you should check out the travel section of Nairaland forum. There's a massive thread on studying in Canada. You'll find it helpful.

37 years age, Jan 2022 intake, got refusal! Please review the application

Yeah they've given (and continue to give) visas to older candidates. Don't lose hope and keep on trying. If this guy can do it then so can you:

37 years age, Jan 2022 intake, got refusal! Please review the application

Most agents/consultants in India behave this way, sadly. Especially the ones in the North.

You can ask for a copy of it under Privacy Act. Just like you would ask for GCMS notes, except here you ask for a copy of all documents submitted.

Got canada visa refusal, i believe my SOP is strong.

Add one or two from Coursera, especially if you have those Google or IBM data analysis certs. Only one or two, though. Don't include Udemy certs.

@vish8291 Your SOP/LOE does have a bit of fluff that needs to be removed. There's no need to include anything related to highschool. In your "Professional Experience", you're overselling yourself. The visa office will wonder, "if this guy already knows so many things then why does he need to do...

Masochist is exactly what I would call someone who moves to the USA and waits 17 years in the queue for a green card. USA is the only country where shit like this can happen: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/30/us/politics/documented-dreamers.html
