no need to be worried, hardly any January applicants have received AOR. You can check my timeline to see I have been waiting four months to hear back from them. It is normally, February applicants may have to wait a while too since they have no yet reached January applicants.
it seems they are still working on December applicants and we january applicants should probably wait till like July or something to even start seeing some movement. Lots and lots of patience is needed.
I think you are able to renew your profile, just sign up again to enter the pool. If you want to be really sure just send Ontario an email or call them and ask them if you are okay to just re make your profile when it expires, just make sure your points do not go below 400.

You may also have to submit IELTS results for your study permit and if your english is not too good this may be an issue for you.
Check and see the requirements but i would always recommend you try and write it yourself so you are aware what has been written.
try calling ontario till you speak with someone and see what they can do for you and if not then you may want to apply to change status so you are able to maintain your status here.

your statement of purpose should just include why you want to come to canada to study and also show you have no intention to stay here once studies are completed , show strong ties to home country. why you feel this program would greatly benefit you and so on.
I can only answer your first question which is a statement of purpose would not hurt if you want to strengthen your application.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: Fraudulent Calls
Some members of the public have received fraudulent calls from an OINP phone number (416-327-0374) requesting payment of funds, and threatening deportation. These calls are not being made by OINP staff. This may be a case of Call ID...
