Were you in the same building as your husband? Was there a receptionist or someone you could make a request to see a supervisor?

your husband can't accompany you in the interview. He can only accompany you to the embassy. I would investigate this more before doing this. I am not 100% sure about how this is done. If any other members have experience with this please let us know.

Alberta has longer wait times than BC. At least that is what the IRB representative told us when we had our ADR in August. You should have a contact person at the IRB ... I believe it is indicated in the letter they sent you. You can call this person to request an update. Or, get your consultant...

I can't remember the exact dates but I believe we were notified that we would get an ADR in June. We ended up having the ADR in August. I am in Vancouver and the process is quicker here. There is not as much backlog as the rest of Canada.

Hi deeafahd, Don't despair. Just because we had a rude VO doesn't mean you will too. I wish I had known then what I know now about the whole process. We would have been more prepared for the interview. Don't expect the worst ... just be prepared for it if it happens OK.
