    Congratz! If you're goin to Rainbow bridge you can also check the service Canada there to apply for your SIN after landing. Just 10 min walk north from the bridge.

    I applied online with spouse & kid. The delay was caused by the entry error on the part of the officer. I just have to surrender it to CIC office.

    For those looking for alternative port of entry, CIC office appointments only take 2 weeks now here in Toronto. If you're not in hurry you can try to get an appointment with CIC offices.

    Received my BOWP last Friday after 2 months(May 22 filed, officer made 2 wrong entry errors on my sons passport). Now I have to surrender it to CIC since I already landed.

    The trend is 2 weeks, but some received it earlier. I didn't received it at all maybe because I already got PPR and PR visa stamped already.

    No it won't. If your PR gets approved the WP will be cancelled automatically.

    Yes you can wait until August before you apply BOWP. I applied BOWP May 22 and our WP expired on June 29. Even our TRV expired on June 6. Now I got the PR visa and after landing the BOWP application will be automatically cancelled.

    CIC's doing almost a great job with the passports, the fastest i read was 7 days.
