If you're goin to Rainbow bridge you can also check the service Canada there to apply for your SIN after landing. Just 10 min walk north from the bridge.

me and my friends e mailed them 3 weeks back we dint get the response so waiting for the gcms notes

Thanks ramz and searing_heat, i will try to email cic again as that seems the only way to get some answers. And yes, i applied for GCMS notes. Thank you!

My husband and I have landed today. Below is our timeline.

Med's request: 05-06-2014
Med's Done: 13-06-2014
RPRF: 06-06-2014
ECAS Med received: 21-06-2014
ECAS Decision Made: 12-07-2014
Landing Request: 24-07-2014
Landing: 30-07-2014

We did not received any passport request. After one and half month waiting since Medical received, we got an email for the landing appointment. We did landing this morning. Almost half an hour for processing, no questions, no additional documents except our passports, working permits, RPRF receipt and two immigration photos. The VO was a nice lady, she signed the COPR for us and told us the PR card should be ready in 21 working days.

After 8 months, we become PRs. Happy, happy.
