Sending PR card outside canada via courier ?

Canada does not prohibit sending of PR card by mail. In fact, they request passport from immigrants by asking them to send in mail. So, I don't see the problem even if they open your courier.

    Primary Occupation Question

Lots of immigration lawyers are not aware of this too. Therefore, if you are finding a lawyer, find a good one. I know nothing about CEC.

    Primary Occupation Question

Whichever noc code I used, I got the same FSW scores. For eligibility for processing requirement, FSW does not look at the length of work exp in primary noc once it is longer than one year. Primary noc and point calculation are two different things under FSW.

No one can predict how PNP in different provinces will continue, but it seems that people currently get the best luck in ontario PNP.

    Reference letters

I would get the letter from your former colleagues (because they knew your jobs well as they were your immediate managers). In addition, get a letter from the HR testify your period of employment in the company. Finally, go to notary public and take the oath that the first set of letters were...

    Primary Occupation Question

Hi Asivad, Primary occupation is the same as primary NOC, because CIC see each NOC representing one occupation. If my understanding is correct, what you put in the primary NOC does not matter - it just need to be one-year full-time paid continuous work (or, equivalent part-time paid continuous...

Working outside Canada while keeping residency obligation

I see... I actually do not mind the tax if this will make me maintain my RO for sure. I am planning to come to...

Working outside Canada while keeping residency obligation

Thanks to your reply. Then I am confused... I asked two accountants and one said that I do not need to pay tax for work outside Canada if I stay less than 180 days. Another said that I do not need to pay tax if I do not have work inside Canada. As I do not have dependent or spouse in Canada...

After EE, How to get job offer or PNP to qualify for ITA

Unless your job is very scarce but in high demand in Canada, it is difficult to find jobs even for the new immigrants (and often, for the locals). Canadian companies look for Canadian experience when considering a person for jobs. It used to be that Alberta welcomes people in mining...

Working outside Canada while keeping residency obligation

Thanks for your answer... I wonder if I need to pay for Canadian tax if I, let's say, stay in Canada for less than 180 days per year and I do not have a job in Canada (even though I am continued employed by a foreign company during an entire year). I have heard two versions. The first version...

Thanks, I am a new PR and I am trying to understand the procedure. If this person was NOT reported by the officer and entered Canada, does it mean that he/she can retain his/her PR status and apply for PR after spending two years (within the last five years) in Canada then?

Does Canada charge tax for income earned from business overseas?

Yes, IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT IN CANADA, you are required to declare your income within and outside Canada. Even though you are not in Canada, you are regarded as resident if your wife/children are in Canada. Things are more complicated if your wife/children are actually not in Canada most of the...
