    They only would have to fear rejection of they received a procedural fairness letter first. The officers always give a chance to satisfy their concerns.

    You should definitely open a joint bank account to add to your proof. You don't have to add a bunch of money to it but it should be used for sure for a few months, even if it is for random purchases.

    It would delay the medical if she was the principal applicant, since they have to take x-rays and its often advised not to get those done when pregnant. Not sure about the other parts though.
