Submitted my passport today (12th april) at bangalore. They charged me ₹164 for the photos (3nos) which is a bit of a ripoff. I reached at 10am and there was no rush for Canada at that time

I sent it through DHL which cost me about 3k iirc but it reached the same week... not sure if it was worth the premium though. OT: I've found the tracking updates of Speed Post to be pretty solid within India. Plus, they deliver to your address even in remote locations unlike with many couriers...

It is definitely possible to get a PR without a consultancy. IMO this forum is as good/better a source for guidance than any agency when going through the process. There are several useful threads on this topic including the ones stickied at the top of this forum as well as this one...

My college was not listed in the WES tool but I got recognized result from WES. It seems that the WES Tool is not particularly exhaustive

^^ Thank you. I checked that page and I think aeropostale is talking about the New Delhi VFS. I am going to Blore on the 12th and have a whole day to get it done so even if it turns out that the VFS there doesn't have one there will be enough time to take the photos :D

Can you confirm whether there is a photo-booth in the Bangalore VFS?

The city I am staying at (Trivandrum) has a VFS but for Canada the closest VFS as per their website is Bangalore. Do I have to go to the VFS at Bangalore to send my passport? I have been looking through the vfs website and this forum and not been able to find out how to go about this. Any help...

I was under the impression that PCC is only issued by the PSK nowadays.

I got PCC from the local PSK and it doesn't mention anything regarding period of stay or even current address.
