Thank you whats your status right now? May be they have dispatched your passport to VFS..I think its better to call the VFS chennai number to check whether they have received your passport or not .. there is a VFS helpline number is given in the website.(022-67866002)But I am not sure ,if there is any specific number to contact Chennai office..

Hi Karthik - I am in the same status as yours...submitted the passport in Bangalore VFS on 21st March and still waiting for COPR. Based on tracking number its is still being processed in New Delhi. Hope to get it by end of this week

I have called them but unfortunately they can't give any info on the process. But my passport has been in Delhi since 22nd Mar as confirmed by them

The city I am staying at (Trivandrum) has a VFS but for Canada the closest VFS as per their website is Bangalore. Do I have to go to the VFS at Bangalore to send my passport? I have been looking through the vfs website and this forum and not been able to find out how to go about this. Any help regarding this would be mightily appreciated.

The one you saw in trivandrum is canada vfs or usa?
As per vfs canada website i only see bangalore as ur nearest one.

I am from kerala..I submitted my passport at VFS Bangalore.But after stamping they send back my passport to vfs Chennai.none of the vfs offices in kerala work as Canada visa application centres.So you have to submit yours at VFS Bangalore

But why can't one use professional courier service to send passport directly to Delhi ? ( with a return Service)

So I guess I will have to take a trip up to Bangalore.

So finally after a month we were able to collect our passports yesterday. The funny part is my husbands COPR was issued on March 12th itself, but my COPR was issues only on April 04th. Not sure why it took so long for mine to get issued.

To those whose stamping is taking time, its probably because the issuance of the COPR is taking time. Hold on for sometime and I am sure it would bear fruit.
