I would encourage you to include some extra money through banking statements/investments to strengthen your application. Also, add your tax return receipts from the last 3 years just for safety.

It depends. The rule of thumb is that you can only add the professors once you pay the registration fee though. Most of the DLIs have systems that allow you to add the email and send them as well as add the necessary documents. So, pay first, send the emails after.

Just to give you guys an idea, here in Brazil the backlog of applications is 2000, and yet no signs of VACs reopening anytime soon.

One of my friends from India who applied in September (complete application - had valid biometrics already) did get his PPR yesterday. I don't think his application was SDS. He is studying a MASc since this Fall.

Has anyone done their biometrics in Quito (Ecuador) recently? I'm wondering if anyone from South America went there for biometrics since most of the VFS/VACs in South America are currently closed. I'm planning to fly there for mine. I doubt that VACs in Brazil will reopen this year still...

Well, I also lived in Canada from 2013 to 2015 under a student visa, and I had to do the medical exams anyways. I applied online in April in the Sao Paulo office. I think you should do the upfront option.

My university, York University, already stated that the Winter term will be completely online. This will be the new normal from now on until Fall 2021, I guess.

There is also a high chance of Canada not allowing students to come for the Winter, so my guess is that the second approval can be in January or even later...

I have an ECA and I wanted an ICAP for submitting to my university. Unfortunately, it's impossible to do this upgrade unless I send them all my transcripts again. This is frustrating. This feature of upgrade your report is useless.

Did anyone here need to upgrade their ECA Report to an ICAP Report for submitting to a Canadian university? I tried to do this upgrade on the WES Website, but it takes me to a whole new application which is not the case. I would appreciate any help on this issue.

Bear in mind that masters give more CRS points than one or multiple bachelors on EE.
