Hello Guys! We all are very agitated by the fact that VAC(s) are still closed in India. But I think I know why they are still not opening. As you all know, they process applications first come, first serve basis. And all students (Indian applicants) who have gotten passport request / final approval are the ones who applied in Feb / March. So, it looks like they are clearing the backlog by finalizing those applicants first.

Even if they open VAC(s) in India, they won't really process applications from July, August, etc. anyways. That would just put more pressure on them since students will questions them why they are not processing the complete applications. Only case when they will prioritize applicant from July, August, etc. over applicants from March / April is when earlier applicants cannot travel to Canada (for example, their DLI is not on the list yet).

So, I think we should stay hopeful. I know it is very stressful but nothing to worry about. They really have to process applications as soon as possible for Winter 2021 applicants since they are not even getting AIP(s). And without visa, they can't start their studies and Canada would lose precious students. I, myself, applied in first week of April. However, my application is incomplete. I am unable to submit biometrics. But I am sure they would open VAC(s) for students asap once the backlog is cleared up.

One more thing is that we cannot compare our case with applicants from other countries. Other countries are not overwhelmed by the huge number of applicants. India has crazy number of applicants and it takes time to process I believe. So, let's keep the positive vibes and hope for the best.

Haha most of the PPRs are coming for July and August applicants. Apart from this you have to accept the fact that canadian government doesn't want to let lacs of Indian students to cross the border which will significantly increase the chances of third wave and prioritising biometrics will only add up to our vows as it will lengthen the whole process.

I highly doubt it. From what I have seen on this forum, PPRs are coming only for Feb/March applicants. I am talking about Indian applicants. Can you share a single post where an Indian applicant who applied in July/August got PPR to backup your reasoning?

Yeah bro I'm talking about Indian applicants and yes even some of my friends received them too. Their biometrics were present in the application from their previous applications and apart from this only a handful of people post here on the forums.

Do you happen to know anyone from this forum who applied in July / August from India and got PPR? The only way applicants from July / August could get the PPR is when all earlier students (ones that are exempted to travel) have gotten PPR.

Personally, I have seen quite a number of posts from Feb / March applicants who got PPR. But not a single one from July / August.
